RE decision to proxy the stalking knife for a long sword, I was going to do this too! The proportions look better but I haven’t yet committed to building. Are you happy with the result?
Aside from the Van Saar knife I considered the Neophyte dagger and the Yaegir knife. I think the VS remains the best option. Are you happy with the choice given the other good options?
I really wanted to put shrouds on the Long Rifle but the little rules cross checking I’ve done indicates they’re an unsupported accessory. Did you add for aesthetic or are you intending to use them (and if so are you house ruling or do you have a different interpretation of RAW)? I’m curious on this point because I was disappointed to learn the long rifle couldn’t as a special weapon.
The knife is very slightly too large, but I like it overall. I think any knife would work, but I also use the VS hand as it seemed to match the wrist width.
Nomad Warriors have the Long Rifle in the basic weapon section so I never really thought about it. I fully intend to use my Nomads as ambushers/guerillas so I intend the gang to all eventually have gunshrouds/googles/infrasights to fight in reduced visibility or from the Hidden condition they can get in the wastes. It's a big shame that the gunshroud isn't on their house list because it feels like something they would be using.

That’s an interesting point! I wonder if that overrides the general rule - gosh I hope so! It’s not like Unwieldy interaction with Fast Shot and Harnesses where it calls out the exclusion.

I have one Neophyte dagger, it's perfect for that. It might be better if the fighter is holding it properly rather than in this "dagger" position but I think it could pass for both.
