Your chipping and rusting looks awesome, how did you do it?

I've got a load of MDF to try to make interesting And I've been thinking of a similarly weathered green/Ivory scheme and haven't attempted it on this scale before!

It’s the salt method mostly.

Put a rusty undercoat on, then a quick Spritz of hairspray, sprinkle on some rock salt and when dry spray on a top colour (I used car paint).

Then once it’s dry brush off the salt to reveal the undercolour. You can then sponge on any extra chips or whatever.

I also used a bit of latex masking fluid on some areas but the rest is 90% salt done.
