  I think it's in my PLOG somewhere, but here's roughly how I do these:
  
  1.) Draw a 5x5" grid on a 3mm piece of MDF, egregiously mixing imperial and metric measurements.
  2.) Take a craft knife and metal ruler and deeply score the lines...
