Borders in Glasgow was indeed great - i loved the magazine section, some really cool things you didn't see elsewhere. I once spent a very long time queuing in there for a Terry Pratchett signing.

Yes and no - the proportions on a "real" 54mm mini are quite different. Scaled up 4pk style 28mm figures have more exaggerated, almost cartoony features with the larger heads.
