According to someone on the Reddit thread, Games Workshop sued No Guts No Galaxy with a copyright claim over 'Warhammer' fridge magnet, a Florida based firm is doing the suing on behalf of GW, is to do with optics and you can get away with this in certain US States.

Warhammered by GW Lawsuit NoGutsNoGalaxy's store was sued for Warhammer, by a Florida law firm hired by GW, but the Warhammer in question was about the Battletech mech.

<<-=][=->> Mod Edit - Stop it, please. <<-=][=->> Chinese labor is just an afterthought. We don't know the working conditions of CGL's Chinese factory and simply basing it off Apple and othe major corporations is unfair. CGL doesn't have the resources of GW, so had to rely on Kickstarters and...

Nice talking points... We're talking about manufacturing niche luxury products, not cars or computers, so the impact on the local economy and community will be negligible. No company is moving production back stateside, due to myopic moronic mercurial machinations, and the ones mentioned in the...

There's also the licensed resin premium line multi-part mechs, but the quality and sizing is iffy. The Black Knight and Rifleman are fine, but others YMMV. I'd rather pay IWM for an updated metal kit, with extra parts for a variant, than a resin Premium miniature - prices aren't that greatly...

I stand corrected, but they're not Renedra quality. I use some of their equipment parts, like scabbards and quivers, along with horses, but humanoid figures, there are better manufacturers. Among plastic exclusive players, like some in the 1:72 figure community, any poo on a pipe is better than...

Plastics are another option, but not some magic material of the future, despite claims of some - Rackham fans were exclaiming "lead is dead!" years ago. Wargames Atlantic is made in China and the details are soft in places. IWM have released newer sculpts to match the scale of the CGL plastics.

Would you at least be consistent? You're allowing one person to post their position, referring to LGBT stories as political and talking about activists, while preventing anyone from responding.

Necromunda The Sump: General hobby venting thread (Beware: old men shouting at clouds)

People need to chillax about Battletech Gothic! The announcement has led to people converting all sorts of mechs, using parts from GW, not that it wasn't done before. Demon Awesome WIP! 😁

I'm not disagreeing with CGL having issues managing expectations, as I've had a problem with their 3rd party fulfillment service using FedEx, but they're slowly trying to fix things. Thye should've had the regional fulfillment centers set up before the KS launched and I was overcharged postage...

Avoiding Goonhammer, as I've got issues with them, I know that GW aren't affected as much by the tariffs, but it won't surprise me for them to claim it as an excuse to raise prices. Assuming your referring to the Mercenaries KS, there's this discussion: This month's CGL newsletter casually...

This explains why I never saw any boxes of Ork Battlewagons in any of the stores in the Greater London Area stores. Ever since I saw conversion plans in White Dwarf #131, my first purchased issue, I've been interested in acquiring one and disappointed that GW never released an updated version...

There might be a Solaris expansion in the future, as it was mentioned when the Battletech Essentials box came out. Production and restocking are an issue, due to manufacturing being in China, and more than likely get worse, thanks to President Orangina. I plan on getting a Demi-Company of...

They're last Kickstarter raised over $7.5 million, so AFAIK, they're not desperate for money. Some of the missing mechs are available from Iron Wind Metals and they're slowly updating the designs. Some had a fit over the UrbanMech LAM and some had a stroke over the Alaric Ward romance novel.

Disgruntled 40k players are gravitating towards Battletech for ages and while this might be an overt move to compete with Trench Crusade, it's an alternate setting involving monsters. BTW, this isn't the first foray into alternate settings: BattleRun: Best Ever: An Eighth World Adventure...

Eagle Empire doesn't have a monopoly on the use of "Gothic". There's "Battlefield Gothic". a term probably coined by Yuval Noah Harari in Renaissance Military Memoirs: War, History and Identity, 1450-1600. in regards to memoirs depicting exaggerated action.
