Luckily we don't have people in the campaign that seek to WAAC. I posted the same question on facebook and it seems the community differs with regard to opinion I think.
The way we will houserule it is that once equipment has been assigned, no removal of wargear can take place anymore...
How about instead of randomising the number of models, randomising the cap of the amount of points you can bring to the battle? This eliminates a bit of the high point difference fluctuation.
For example by saying (D6 + 5) x 100.
Then the average point value per fighter becomes less important...
Our campaign group is currently having a discussion about the adding / removing of weapons for gangers and juves. The way we read the rules is that you are not allowed to remove any wargear (incl. weapons, grenades etc) but are free to add wargear (as long as you adhere to the wargear...
Very excited reading the FB post with the new campaign system I hope they'll make a digital campaign map with it too.
Also hoping on an almanac, but I'm afraid I'll have to cope with a post-it referencing system :(
All in all tho, I think KT will be a great addition to the 40K family. I'm not that afraid of N17 getting sidetracked as the game is already a great game. The models are great and with all the things available already I think this game can last a long long time.
That actually makes sense. However I do hope that they'll create a "full" book once N17 reaches its next stage. Would like to have one book with all the relevant information instead of having to search through 4 books when playing a game.
I’m very curious as to how similar KT will be to N17. Somehow I get the feeling KT and N17 rules will profit from each other. As Infeel they will be very similar.
I am also new to Van Saar but my idea behind the list is the following and bear in mind, it might not work.
Strong guns + strong armour = low casualty count + high kill count. Thus restoring the bottle test balance.
Moreover, I like the look and feel of an Elite Van Saar gang.
I like it, especially for the boys before toys reason. Lower point gangs will probably beef up their fighters making it more strategical pregame and more tactical during the game.
How about instead of big metal doors you can make electric fences. You'll "only" need two poles on each side that you can place on top of the aquarium filters with some removable strings between them.
That looks awesome mate.
I especially like the part where you have built small buildings in between the filters. Still easy to play but already 3D. Sorta 2.5D ;)/
The pipes are an awesome easy solution! I am trying the fish tank filter approach. Have 16 being shipped at the moment, can't wait to get my hands on them and build me some walls.
Good idea. I don't have GW3 yet but will definitely get the book soon. Currently in the progress of updating the scenario based on your comments.
Thanks again, hopefully be able to play test somewhere the coming week.
