    Khimerix model?

From the fluff for them in GW4 it sounds like a Kataphron would be pretty accurate for a Lugger. "House Orlock has ready access to mining and heavy industrial servitors of all makes and manner, but those repurposed for gang warfare often take the form referred to by gangers as 'luggers' - heavy...

    Cawdor/GW4 Speculations/Discussions

That second kit has so many great looking weapons! That flamer with the underslung blade looks positively evil.

There's a repeated Skills section too. It looks like some of the wording has been neatened up.

How do Cawdor measure up to the other gangs?

Which is a note under the Cawdor weapon list... Sweet zombie jesus, what a mess. I think it's time to get rid of the Unwieldy trait which is being used as a catch-all for too many things and has too many interactions. Replace it with a melee specific trait and a heavy ranged weapon specific trait.

How do Cawdor measure up to the other gangs?

Sorry, my sleepy brain completely misinterpreted that one last night. Thorgar you are absolutely right, unwieldy flushes the polearm ranged attack straight down the toilet! And that poor chain glaive... Well, I tried to find a redeeming feature. I guess that feature is rats. Now there's...

How do Cawdor measure up to the other gangs?

I'm just happy the name blundarm is catching on! There's no way the unwieldy trait on the polearm part is intended to make the autogun part move or fire, that would be crazy and I'd chalk it up to N17's 'quirky' design.

How do Cawdor measure up to the other gangs?

Yes :) "Versatile - If the wielder of a Versatile weapon is Engaged, it counts as a Melee weapon. Otherwise, it counts as a Ranged weapon." "Shoot (Basic) – The fighter makes an attack with a Ranged weapon." It's weird. It's totally weird. But you do use BS to 'shoot' someone with your...

How do Cawdor measure up to the other gangs?

It's not even remotely a waste of credits, you gain more flexibility than you would spending the credits on individual weapons. Versatile may be a situational bonus, but it does exist. 40c for four weapon profiles from the Blundarm is an absolute steal and worth it just for the Purgation Shot...

How do Cawdor measure up to the other gangs?

That would amazing and would give versatile weapons a bit more oomph and more identity. Hell that sounds like it make for an excellent skill, like a consolation prize version of Run and Gun for close combat focused characters. Failed a charge? Fire your pistol anyway at -1 to hit! Most of the...

How do Cawdor measure up to the other gangs?

Except that Cawdor aren't exclusively restricted to working within their versatile weapons' range, it's an extra option that other gangs are mostly lacking that can be exploited under the right circumstances. Extra options means greater tactical flexibility. But 40 credits is dirt cheap for a...

How do Cawdor measure up to the other gangs?

I love the Cawdor polearms thematically. Mechanically they do leave a little bit to be desired but are still very potent in the right situations. I think this is part of the problem with the perception of the Cawdor gang at the moment, their strengths just aren't obvious in the same way as say...

    New GSC Rules

Oh yes, mind Control easily looks like the best and most fun power there. Turning an enemy's own power against them is just so deliciously appropriate for the genestealers. I think Hypnosis has some great potential too. Hmm, I wonder if it would override a burning character's ability to stop...

    New GSC Rules

I'm eyeing up the Assail power with just that thought in mind. Adept makes a ranged attack against an enemy within 12", if successful move them D3" in the direction of your choice and pin them. Could be great for telekinetically feeding enemy gangers to the aberrant by pulling them out of cover.

Because they're as dumb as a box of rocks ;) Even if they're just mining they'd probably need someone else there to tell them which way round to hold the pick axe.

    N17 Genestealer Cult Gang Updated

Two types of leader, one psychic one combat focused. Clearer and slightly cheaper implementation of third arms. The fighter-type weapon restrictions are just gone. Aberrants now have a 5" movement, can use any close combat weapons and armour, but no other wargear, and they can become...

    Goliath too powerful?

But then I'd have three models with only one arm each ;) I didn't make it explicit but part of my theory crafting at the time was to have the models be complete using the exact boxed parts, no snipping allowed. It was such a pain. The box is so stingy on parts! My dream Goliath box would have...

Drop the leader's power hammer down to an axe and drop juve 2 entirely leaving 85c spare. Buy a 5th ganger and give him a spud jacker and stub pistol leaving 5c in change.
