    Well this is the problem. The new WS rules are so basic there isnt a massive amount anyone can do to patch it, not without overhaul. Another option could be to allow both engaged models to attack simultaneously, assuming the charged model can see their attacker.

    Why not make is as simple as this: If the targets WS is better than the attacker, the attacker suffers -1 to their To Hit rolls. I mean it's basic, but it's effective.
