I would keep it on the leader. He can get bs upgrades as well and it keeps him a bit out of the biggest trouble (u cant replace leaders rly). A champion is not much weaker in cc. Normally if u can get in cc it is overkill anyway. So if u go with a big heavy weapon put it on the leader.
Sadly gw is good in introducing new characters, but to stupid 2 implement them in their rules.
U can find the infos how to hire them in the RB under Bountyhunters. U pay the fee and in case of bounty hunters pay for the equipment, and after a match or 2 they will leave your gang and burn a big...

The moment you want to add a plasmacannon to your gang, it is THE factor your gang is building around. That you want to add fluffy wyldrunner doesn't make thinks easier. I like the core idea of plasma cannon, gl specialist, deathmaiden as counter cc and some cheap bodies. Esp in 2d your gang...
Depends what u want them 2 do. Cc monster death maiden. But champion are rly versatile, offering some of the beste range weapons, while being good in cc.
Have fun. If u like necromunda and Escher, there will always be the 2nd Box to fix some "faults". There are worst thinks than 2 much choice ;). Necromunda is rly forgiving in this area (compared 2 other tt games)

I think the no double roule is a bit harsh. Like u explain it leads to less variants of lists on the board. I don't think that is what your group wants to achive
Ah, we don't choose scenarios in our group. We have a pool of scenarios and play a random or one we agree on. Picking scenarios rules are so bad i even forgot, that we banned them ;)
U dont got a 40k player some bits available? Imperial guard weapons are easy to convert (GL, plasmagun, or even melter if u want). I used some Dark Eldar bits for my Needle Rifle. Not much need for the forgeworld packs here.
Ah. But I am still not sure about the launcher. Sure the gas grenades are good. It depends a bit when u are planning 2 buy it. Because a specialist can choose bs and intelligence upgrades (ofcourse this path is longer).
My problem is more that is forces escher in one playstyle. U best go for mobile shooting with 1-2 counter chargers. That is pretty good, since in necromunda cc is all about charging (death maiden can kill even goliath leader on the charge). And charging gets easier if u can force the enemy in...
