    Getting into blood bowl

1100TV to start gives plenty of teams that extra oomf to start well. You could also look at letting new coaches start with 1-2 players with a skill as well. That can also help some of the slower teams catch up to established teams.

    What's on your mind?

The resin gang head and weapon kits have been slowly disappearing off the website since the plastic weapon upgrade sprues came out. I think it’s unlikely that they are going to bother making plastic sprues for the ash wastes expansions. Hell at this stage I’m not sure the house gangs are Ven...

    Getting into blood bowl

works well enough. The SWL on FUMBBL starts new teams at 1100TV and a preseason open "tournament" of up to 7 games to allow them to develop skills then do a redraft before the season proper. Gives them a leg up and lets them get through a redraft process and understand some of the new rules bit...

    New Black Orc team

the counter play is essentially to sit at half way and wait for them to move forward. So lots of passing turns if they fully retreat. If you go up piecemeal then they start hitting your attacking pieces. If you go up wholesale they just run past you and stall. you basically want to put enough...

    New Black Orc team

It’s named after an Italian coach on FUMBBL that goes by the name MattDakka. He’s a bloody good coach but his play style is not what one would usually associate with playing a fun game of bloodbowl, and he is a super beardy munchkin. You can check out his FUMBBL profile here on the link below...

    New Black Orc team

It just changes how you do it to be honest. But stalling is also situational for most coaches. As Spafe said if you are playing an exhibition game you just stop and restart or turn it into a learning/coaching game. If it’s at a tournament then it becomes fair game the further up the table...

    New Black Orc team

It's almost impossible to stop stalling against good opponent even if you apply the GW rules for stalling. All that will happen against a good coach is that they will hold the ball deeper back so they aren't within scoring range so it doesn't count as stalling. Doesn't really matter what the...

    New Black Orc team

you can;t ban the fouling and teh stalling, it's the best bit!!! Plus it's kind of essential for some of the teams to be able to stall/foul in order to actually win. Dwarfs come to mind as a team that needs to really stall out to try and win.

    New edition 2020

it's certainly a fun game to play. It's ended up taking up my Necromunda time unfortunately...

What I've been doing recently, a painting and modelling log...

Are you sure you are using leviadon blue? Mine has always come out as a deep navy blue, but yours looks more like a washed out faded jeans blue. If you are watering it down maybe try doing one without thinning it down further and you might get closer to the blue from the ones you didn’t paint...

    Necromunda in Australia?

Hey mate, There are a few at Jolt games that are trying to get a casual Necromunda night going on Thursday nights, and there are a few private campaigns going on in the background. I used to run a bunch of the campaigns out of Jolt (from 2017-2021) and a few of the other regulars have run...

If I can figure out how to opt out of being training data I will. Generally I try to turn AI functionality off on most apps if I can as well, but it is fairly well integrated at this point so just really needs to be accepted if you want to use their service.

Necromunda The Sump: General hobby venting thread (Beware: old men shouting at clouds)

I am listening to a bloodbowl podcast that is talking about the competitive scene across a number of games and how the split between competitive and non-competitive players is largely crap. So many people think that going to tournaments makes you a competitive player, when really it just means...

Necromunda The Sump: General hobby venting thread (Beware: old men shouting at clouds)

I’ve just slowed down here mostly because I’ve been playing and organising bloodbowl tournaments more in the last few years and don’t have time to try and run a Necromunda campaign alongside all of that AND real life stuff. I’ve got no care for or issue with female angry frogs. And I would...

    What's on your mind?

@Biggle_Bear pretty much. Though the guy also mentions that they also get forced underground by the High Elves helping to establish the schools of magic in the empire and essentially banning shadow magic, which is what the gnomes use. He also makes a great point that there is/was plenty of...

    What's on your mind?

This guy does a reasonable explanation of gnomes in the old world if you are interested in them. https://www.youtube.com/live/8eRzo1sA_1Q?si=OTaZwiHGMJke70M9 Gnomes are related to dwarfs where halflings are related to humans in Warhammer lore. Also worth noting that gnomes have previously...

Unfortunately the old 40K cyborgs are out of production and have been replaced recently with Squighogs. There are still pigs in Age of Sigmar though depending one what flavour you like. Savage orcs still ride boars and you can get a Maniak wierdboy on boar. The now also have Gore-gruntas...

    Scratch building terrain supplies

Well I learned something new (and had to look up the word “dunnage” to boot). Interesting that when I was looking up why they use strip loading it seemed that it is primarily for yard to yard or yard to rail transportation, while pyramid loading seemed preferred for yard to site. Might be...

Feeding the Tribe (Gardening thread - Off Topic)

We are looking at putting in a pool at the moment so likely will be redoing most of the garden to suit that. Hopefully we can safely relocate the orange, fig and pomegranate trees that are in a garden bed near the proposed pool location. Might try and transfer them to large pots so we can drag...
