Anyone have any idea what Ozostium Aranthus actually is? Apart from a terrifyingly powerful psyker?

Just flagging that the new Necromuda lore book Spire of Hive Primus is currently listed on the GW store as "available while stocks last". Why that should be the case when the last three weren't I don't know (ditto whether it actually indicates a scarcity issue), but thought I'd PSA it anyway.

The Wardens of Ultramar set has some great Necromuda model conversion fodder, if you ignore the two space marines.

I can't say the new one grabs me like the Cursed City reveal did. May change when we see more, but Cursed City had such a classic fantasy setting, and the box art was stylish. This one seems at once a bit more generic art-wise (and hero wise), whilst also somehow being less of a classic setting.

Narratively as well.

I think the chicken in the image might have been a bit too fierce for Sir Robin. It must have been in a white dwarf since I don't have any copies of town crude, but which issue it's in I've no idea. This sounds like the response of a man who saw too much when trying to aid me in my search...

Depends what's in the box, but based on what I've seen it should be cheaper. The second edition box contained two teams, plus two big guys (one per team), plus two star players (one per team), plus two refs. As far as I can see, the new edition box contains two teams, and the new status markers.

I find the change in colour palette of the Chaos Dwarfs really weird. Why are they now primarily amethyst and green? Also quite Incredible that with this many reveals, there's not one obvious Necromunda conversion fodder miniature here. Also, as I think whenever we get a reveal like this...

Mordheim based game is better than the Necromunda turn based game. There's little sense of progression in the gear you get in the Necromunda game. I played it for quite a bit and in the end it left me cold as I realised there was little to aspire to. That said, the mechanics etc are pretty...

I can weirdly see it being quite good for cosplayers who want to add an extra dimension to their pictures - for sure if there was one of these (or perhaps a slightly bigger / more scenic version) at a convention, I can see it getting a lot of use..

Sure, I more meant that surely a boxed set featuring brand new factions would have been a better way to launch The Old World. As it is they spent like four years developing a product that launched with largely the same miniatures as Warhammer Fantasy had when it died.

The Grand Cathay release I find a bit weird. Old world has largely been a low effort offering to date, and now they're releasing an entirely new faction entirely in plastic? I suppose they had a backlog of releases post COVID, and so maybe they didn't have the capacity to do it, or maybe it...

Argh I forgot to add Condottiero's original quote to my reply. Thanks Tiny - had seen the Battletech Gothic stuff, but CM referred Battlefield Gothic as being something else again. Totally agree on it being a bizarre pivot for Battletech though.
