Thank you, that helps quite a lot actually, especially the engine shot. I have some of those foxbox engines (they are so nicely cast), but sadly they don't fit too flat without some major work, unless you cut through the plasticard to make a decent driveshaft. As I say, thanks for your help and...

My skill level ain't great -I'm mostly a kitbasher- so I'll probably do something relatively simple. I had a thought of doing a large crawler vehicle and if a chassis is that fiddly (which I thought it might be) I may just make a scaled up version of the Trukk chassis. cheers for the pointers :)...

It's essentially a new version of ash wastes, and I can convert fairly well, it's just I fancied my hand at scratch building a couple of vehicles, as well as converting some normal tamiyo sets. I'm essentially needing some hints and tips like making a chassis, the body etc.
