Necromunda Insaniak's Growing Gaggle of Gangs

A little while between updates here, as I got a little busy with other projects. But couldn't resists assembling some new toys that arrived yesterday... I've been largely avoiding the new Necromunda models, as the scale creep makes them look odd against my existing collection. But for Goliaths...

Necromunda Insaniak's Growing Gaggle of Gangs

Strong Tone wash done on the juves, so they just need some final detailing and bases (which I'll do on the whole gang at once when everyone's otherwise done). Also started work on the new heavy, and transplanted the rest of the gang onto Maelstrom's Edge bases (for arc of sight marks).

Necromunda Insaniak's Growing Gaggle of Gangs

Getting some paint on my Goliath juves... Complicated by the fact that I started this gang five or six years ago, and don't appear to have recorded what paint I used anywhere, so there's some guesswork involved.

    Derelict Water Tank

Thanks! And yes, there are stacks of pics of all of my terrain here.

    Derelict Water Tank

A little something I put together from the lid of a round cardboard gift box, some bits from the Maelstrom's Edge terrain sprues and some water effects. For the curious, there's a walkthrough here.

Necromunda Insaniak's Growing Gaggle of Gangs

Chaos Marauder and Gorkamorka boy parts are a good match, and so a handy source of customisation options.

Necromunda Back to Necromunda - Outcasts next

Glazes are intended to be applied thinly, to give an even layer of colour, though, they're not designed to pool in the creases. Contrast is used like a wash, it just has more pigment than usual, so can actually be used as a glaze as well.

Advice please on WIP industrial tower

If you don't texture it, I would recommend sanding down the filler a little, as that texture is going to show up through the paint and stand out against the cardboard. But yes, in general just spraying with primer is fine. Some raw cardboards can be a bit absorbant, so it can take a couple of...

Necromunda Insaniak's Growing Gaggle of Gangs

Yeah, the plastic Broken Rabble that I've used above are perfect fodder for civilians - they have weapons separate from their hands, and a whole bunch of different heads (including alien options). There are a few resin models in the Broken range as well, although they would need a little more...

Necromunda Insaniak's Growing Gaggle of Gangs

The (theoretically) next gang I'll be finishing off is Goliaths. This gang was built around the plastic models from the original starter set, which I've had sitting in a box for all this time on account of not being particularly interested in playing Goliaths (back in the day, I mostly played...

Necromunda Insaniak's Growing Gaggle of Gangs

While I'm busy dusting off and refurbishing some very old Necromunda gangs, I thought it would be fun to put together some extras as a handy way of hooking other people into the game. Also just because I like to use different stuff from time to time, so you can never have too many gangs... This...
