    N18 Vehicle Collision Damage Strangeness

On a flip side, these guys are already in a firefight, so their precious vehicle is already in a danger of getting shot to bits. And if they are in real danger of getting killed, doing everything to survive now is probably a bigger deciding factor than worrying about a future ash storm. So yeah...

    New models incoming

That is an interesting observation. I wonder if they were designed from the start to be released as both kill team and regular infantry squad for 40k - if so, that would be suprisingly thoughtful and very much unlike GW (missing opportunity to have two separate kits).

    N18 Question about Rad Cannon

Van saar bodygloves and hazard suits only provide immunity against rad-phage trait, other than that, rad weapons do normal damage like any other weapon.

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

True. However, two models about 12 inches away, but still on the opposite sides of the vision arc cone, have about 16" of distance between them, so no, it is not easy to judge which will be 12" and which 12,5".

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

See, that is probably the most logical way to go about it. But if we were to STRICTLY adhere to the rules as written, shooting sequence is: 1. DECLARE THE SHOT 2. CHECK THE RANGE 3. MAKE THE HIT ROLL 4. TARGET IS PINNED 5. RESOLVE HITS Target priority is considered at the 1. Declare shot...

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

After having a google search I`ve stumbled upon an older FAQ, which has a very helpful line, which sadly didn`t make it to further prints/versions of the rulebooks: So it is in fact intended to declare a general direction. Which means that the interpretations to just measure in any direction...

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

Same rule says movement need not be in straight line and player should try to make good use of any available cover. How does that interact with specified direction/point? Also, the fall short could just refer to charge, which is a type of movement and which can fail when a model does not have...

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

Rules for measuring say (paraphrased, because I ain't writing all that on phone) that you can only measure range between shooting model and target. So how do we know what is the range to the other model, if measuring to him is against rules, as he is not the target? Sorry if I came out...

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

Problem is, necro rules break on quite a few occasions because of the "no pre measuring", so the designers themselves weren't conscious enough of various problems. When shooting, closest enemy model has to be targeted, otherwise a cool check is necessary. I have bob in the Middle of the board...

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

I can declare that I make a single move with my ganger "Bob" (just that, nothing more) and the pull out the mesuring tape and just measure out his 5 inches of move? Even if I measure out those 5" in different directions and then decide where to actually move him, I don't see anything in the...

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

Actually, rules as written don't tell you to specify the direction or point, any of that is just pure assumption based on vague wording, text of the rules was already quoted earlier in the thread: There is no single instance where movement rules instruct you to specify direction or point...

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

Truth be told, there isn't much more to be said. I've already outlined the RAW of the rules (no need to specify point, as the rules don't instruct you to do that, just declare "I move this model" and then measure and move up to maximum allowed) and if you don't like that, various RAI...

    N18 Necromunda: Ash Wastes

that... could actually be pretty interesting and... actually tactical/strategic, if that word ever fits in regard to GW games? I`m kinda curious now!

    N18 Vanilla Munda

Yup, I haven`t played necromunda for probably a year now, even though I have close to a 100 models just for necro (though admittedly, some of that is due to lack of time, and not just disappointment with the rules). However, the last time I was playing, we were using just the basic gangers...

    N18 Necromunda: Ash Wastes

Pretty much, yes! I've been cheking out KT lately and I like what GW is doing there. Considering that each box for KT since 2021 edition is a separate "killzone" with fluff and rules specific for that setting and included factions, I could see something like that working for necro with all the...

    N18 Necromunda: Ash Wastes

How about this crazy idea: Have two books in the box - one is just pure full core game rules (moving, shooting, dealing with vehicles), second just pure full rules, fluff, campaign for the two factions that are in the box. This does a few things: 1) allows to release just full core rules...

    N18 Necromunda: Ash Wastes

Not only bloat, but the fact that just after the release of big starter, players have to buy yet another book to fully get the experience (and the rules to play the gangs they got in the starter, because it' s too much to ask for full rules in the same box the models come in).

N18 Not so simple actions: Movement

I'd take that as just a general "don't be a douche" rule. I.E. I've declared shot, and then after measuring found I can't reach, so i can't suddenly say "my bad, I wanted to move all along, I just forgot". But I would be perfectly okay if my opponent moved, then realised his move put him...
