Yep. Scalping is buying something that has limited numbers, holding onto it just long enough to vastly inflate the price, and then sell it off at a huge profit, to the disadvantage of the people who want to use it. Like ticket scalpers outside the theatre...

Project Log: Mordheim anniversary Restless Dead warband

Brief detour while Real Life and mental health needs attending. In the interim, please enjoy this relaxing bit of music while you wait. Owt in shaden wodespan, dwelt the murdrus beaste, Vittalling on the sack-for-homes, gorge-laden with his feaste. Stalkering ‘tween the leafen glade, preying...

I wager the "stagger" in the sculpt is aiming for "decrepit and falling apart." Broken puppets. Looks good so far.

    Squig Racing side-game from CJ38 2021-02-03

From Citadel Journal 38, a mini-game built for beside Mordheim, Warhammer Fantasy Battles, or even GorkaMorka, of grots or goblins riding racing squigs through dungeons or sewers, by Ian Roberts. A parallel of sorts to the Chariot Racing mini-game, and the Mordheim Gladiatorial Pit mini-game.

Mordheim Squig Racing side-game from CJ38

Aulenback submitted a new resource: Squig Racing side-game from CJ38 - Goblins riding "racing squigs" beneath the city. Read more about this resource...

    What's on your mind?

    That is VERY 1979.

N18 Can't put a model next to an enemy after a charge.

So in N95 (and in Mordheim), the rule was that if you could not physically fit the model to stand at the top of the ladder or wall, you could set it just inside instead, remembering where it "actually is" in the interim. There is no equivalent note in anywhere in N17/N18/N20?

Huh. All my copies of that Eldar power glove are attached to Eldar [Harlequins] already. Nice find!

Project Log: Mordheim anniversary Restless Dead warband

A minor update on the YakComp hangers-on. The paired Hired Swords will be a Coffin-Maker and Grave Robber. The gathering of parts is sorted, and both assembly and painting has now, technically, begun. The edging and surfacing of the large bases will be a priority, but with polyfilla...

Mordheim Alternative Mordheim Miniatures (lots of pics)

So.. There's a Mordheim scenario from Fanatic Online about carting through the Merchant District, looting, pillaging, and trying to avoid the angriest, most vicious, most deadly pegasus. The pegasi (? pegasuses? pegaseuss?) from the old Bretonnian line, and those from most other lines such as...

Competition Yakcomp 37: "You just can't get the staff these days"

Go for it! There's... er... PLENTY of time yet. I hope. I have gathered bits, but have yet to touch assembly or painting. Dealing with life first, a bit. We'll see how it goes.

Surviving Covid-19 - Yak Support Network!

Hair care? Well, I do wash it in the shower every day, all 5mm length of it. But I admit this year now to falling down entirely on my real hair care - the waxing of my moustache and regular beard grooming. The buzzing-for-length has been more sporadic than ought. And with masks? Well...

    Games Workshop or Warhammer?

Heck, as noted in my post above, even the poll question in this poll is already out of date. You can't buy Citadel miniatures from GW anymore it appears, anymore than you can buy Marauder minis from them. Citadel is a paint line, painting tools, and basing tools. And one box of skulls. A lot...

    Games Workshop or Warhammer?

I call the store Jee Doubleyou. The games? Warhammer, 40K, Necromunda [yes, that's also for Shadow War], Mordheim, GorkaMorka, Blood Bowl and Blitz Bowl, Doubleyou Eff Arr Pee. Talking to non-GW-geeks? "Toy Soldiers." Occasionally "miniatures" games. Side note - Does GW even MAKE Citadel...

From Painting to Precipice: my personal BSF quest

Paint it in iridescent blues and greens, with dark metallics for the blackstone, to avoid the "fleshy sphincter" look? Because if you accidentally deviate into reds, pinks, or violets, you're headed back into "organs" territory.

As they rightly should. Likewise the next Warhammer Quest game, should have you wanting to play Mordheim. And half the other Underworlds teams too [not the Sigmarines so much, but all the others]. Just like the last Warhammer Quest encouraged InquisiMunda.

Heck, if it follows closely to BSF at all, while the exploration cards and loot/experience cards would be more difficult to arrange, making custom heroes/explorers is ridiculously simple [since they don't get shuffled at all], and custom villains/antagonists can be made as well, on a...

My monkish tonsure would be rather too prominent for such a style. I have clipped my own hair for years now. Short works better for my head.

Maybe they were aiming for 1600s or 1700s French noble fashions?
