Yup, have done this sort of thing with opponents agreement before too. Sometimes the way a gun sticks out for example can make it impossible to place correctly and maintain the faxing you want.
Maybe we are just lucky with the relaxed nature of those we play with but it doesn't take much to...
And this whole thing is why I like having a relaxed club to play at that isn't tied to a shop.
I fee for those that have to put up with this sort of thing for a bit of pewpew and dakkadakka. I don't want playing with my toy soldiers to become serious business.
Had toyed with idea of a map but not of doing set layouts for each one.
Interested in how it goes for you. One thing to consider is the warren like and evolving nature of the underhive. You could potentially have more than layout per sector or surprise prod with a change to one because of a...
Yeah I'd rather bank the 15 credits than get a synth.
In fact only think the synth is worth it for ranged and then only if you don't have to "aim", eg a leader at short range.
Very situational bit of kit.
Skills wise I took Iron Will. The terrible cool stat is a real hindrance and...
Interesting point.
When changing things.. where do you draw the line?
I disagree that the nade launcher is where that line should be drawn but heyho.. the ''here do you draw the line?" question is why I've been doing changes one at a time. Target priority first. Not coming with Krak second...
Going to echo @Stoof almost to the word.
I really like it. Sinister looking, cleaner lookmrhan the old ones but that's in keeping with the tone of N17 compared to oldmunda.
I'm not sold on the mouth thingie but could be faction defining as much as the trenchcoat or could just be their version...
Maybe I'm a sucker but I've always been happy to use a bit of common sense when an opponent's weirdly posed guy wants to do a shot that a normally posed guy wants to.
I do like the idea of a cutout or generic standing pose model that can be subbed in for checking these things if your...
BloodBowl can't be doing it wrong if it's been largely unchanged for as long as it has though.. the players are happy with it and it works so why change it?
Dodge is actually very popular on Orc teams when they get the opportunity to take it btw, they just need a double on the skill roll (which...
But that's not a gang rating issue, it's a base cost issue and special weapons aren't special issue. Better fixed by increasing its cost and restricting to Leader/Champ/Specialist or whatever your preferred fix is.
Taking the grenade launcher cost the same for everyone fixes nothing really...
Is this really necessary?
I'd be fine with only what is fit and healthy counting towards rating but beyond that a lasgun really doesn't need to count the same towards rating for all gangs imo.
Is this not something that would be in danger of fixing something that isn't actually broken?
Same reason they don't have bolters.
Cheap to produce enmasse and easy to maintain in the field is my imaginary justification for the Guard still holding their flashlights dear.
Absolutely agree. No toys gets dull quick enough but I think the maximum holds true for gang creation is all. Anything goes after that though!
As for that list @Waikiki, I'll leave others to comment t as I'm not so experienced with Orlocks. Does look like you have given some of the equipment...
You've never seen a movie where a group of mooks arrive and circle someone one, feinting to attack but none coming all the way into range? Only when the poor sod is surrounded do they go for the kill..
It's only as silly and passive looking as your imagination says it is surely!
Big fan of having cards but there is way too much discrepancy in how effective they are.
Playing as Escher, I'm ok with this card.. it's way more effective for me than it is against me but it run is a bit much as written.
I can see the cards becoming their own headache for me as arbitrator...
@Stoof I'd love to see that mini!
@Waikiki , General rule for equiping a gang(not just Orlock) .. boys before toys. I tend to disregard this a little with Leaders and Champs but Gangers and Juves always go bare minimum to do their job to begin with.
Start talking about GL's being rediculous? We started that day one right? :D
I immediately made them subject to normal target priority in our campaign (not centred on nearest but must be affecting them). Consensus amongst the more experienced is that it's still way too good and should come...
It's something that I only very recent realised.
Not only is it valid, it's kinda vital to make outnumbering actually effective for melee fighters.
Playing it where charge = attacking, there were too many cases where dealing with a Goliath leader would be just feeding my gang to him piecemeal...
40k scale, making millions upon millions of units is small scale.. I'd have thought the Mechanics would take it regardless because of this.
But.. that's at least plausible.
Other explanations could be that the STC is so incorporated into its surroundings that the Mechanics have simply entered...
