    What's on your mind?

30? That seems like a bit of an exaggeration. You can do BA, MA, and a PhD in that time, if you don't take many breaks. Most people are still graduating in their early 20s. In some ways, it might be better if they postponed uni to get more real-world experience. But, on the other hand, life is...

    SJ's Terrain

I was recently looking for walkway tutorials. Off to Youtube I go... (Does it matter whether I watch it here or on Youtube?)

What I've been doing recently, a painting and modelling log...

Do you have a brush-on primer? Or just paint straight on the plastic? I'm not sure this would work for me, since I use spray primer and the attachment points wouldn't get primed.

    FYSC May Submissions Thread

The only finished stuff to declare is my Van Saar from earlier in the month: I have a little more stuff almost-but-not-quite finished, which I guess will have to wait until June.

What I've been doing recently, a painting and modelling log...

That spill makes a pretty good texture itself. I wonder how easy it would be to recreate that on a base or terrain piece...

    Ben's Bits n Bobs

That picture got more likes that some of my fully painted stuff. Not sure what to make of that. Anyway, here's a quick update: This is my usual base mix: three tones of brown, two greys for some rocky bits, then picked out metallics (silver and bronze), drybrushed some red/orange rust, and...

YakComp 46 - Feed Me Seymore!

It was, but that seems to have changed in practice a while ago (though I don't think the rules were ever amended).

YakComp 47 - Theme selection time!

Ok, I'm going to go with this one: Not least because - looking through the thread - I realised that my suggestion was itself a homage of sorts to an earlier suggestion:

    FINISH YOUR STUFF CHALLENGE 2023

Well, you did say... Maybe give 1.5x Yakpoints, if not double.

    Ben's Bits n Bobs

I have been slowly chipping away at some stuff, including these: Fungus patches, made by sticking red lentils on some spare bases.

    MusingWarboss’s Scenery

I was going to say 'I'm sure I saw one on eBay the other day'. It was probably that one. (Re-listed since the above post.)

Necromunda The Sump: General hobby venting thread (Beware:grumpy grognards)

Given that the UK has been in constant political crisis for the best part of a decade at least - and is still dealing with inflation, strikes/protests, Brexit, migration, Covid-19/NHS pressure and who knows what else - I doubt that this is really high on the political agenda.

    Warhammer: The Old World

I still have my WoC army but, to be honest, I don't really have any interest in massed battle games any more. If I did, then I'd probably be playing Kings of War or Oathmark already. So, this will probably be a pass for me. (Random thought: I should probably try to sell some of my OOP models...

YakComp 46 - Feed Me Seymore!

Would it be any easier if you could vote for six (i.e. all but one of the entries, excluding your own)?

    New models incoming

Still no release date (so far as I've seen) but here is the Stargrave scavenger sprue:

    Ben's Bits n Bobs

I started playing around with one of those toy trucks: Actually, this uses parts of two trucks, because I used two payloads back to back instead of a cab. This has the advantage that I don't need to figure out what to do with the windows etc just yet. I added a bit of mesh for some extra...

    New models incoming

@kendoka I just found the post about the zombie bits (guy at the back):

    Necromunda How many models?

Thanks everyone. I wanted to see what other people did, before giving my own answer. For my Cawdor, I have 2 leaders, 5 heavies/specialists, 5 juves, and something like 13 gangers - so, 25 models in all. I consider them 'complete' although I wouldn't absolutely rule out making a handful more at...

    Distinguishing klans

Personally, I don't have a printer and I'm not too likely to buy parts, but any ideas welcome.

    New models incoming

We haven't seen the full sprues yet, but I suspect there will be at least some. In fact, they will apparently include some bits for making zombies - I think that means at least some weaponless arms, albeit perhaps not in the most natural pose for a living civilian.
