Get your Guard out for the lads! (Yakhammer 40K)

Does that have to do with the waiver I signed that asked, among other things, if I considered my spleen "well used"?

Get your Guard out for the lads! (Yakhammer 40K)

Oh bloody oath, that is so ace. Made sergeant and got a sweet boltgun, both on the same day! The recruiter was right, the guard really has it all...

    What's on your mind?

As someone with no strong opinion either way, I'll avoid the usual channels for a while I think. Edit: Whoops, no, I do have a thing about Custodes, but not about that thing I don't care about. The new Custodes Codex is out, and even with my limited rules knowledge I can safely agree with...

Get your Guard out for the lads! (Yakhammer 40K)

Sooo, is this a place to show my maybe-guard-marshal, as a way of showing support? Or will this get me stabbed in the hand again? If so, please pick one of the ones on the left this time, I barely use them anyway.

    What's on your mind?

Maybe the community complained that "nothing ever changes in the lore anyway" one too many times. :censored:

Necromunda The ballad of how I lost my mind and decided to paint a ton of stuff

Still at work on the drones, I do get to put brush to model here and there. Those blasted iron halo things around the turbines are really hard to get paint on, and the amount of metal hoses half-hidden by meat-tube-things is off the charts. My only solace is that I will probably never paint...

    New models incoming

What if, and I dread this even more, it's just "whoops, all Clan Pestilens" again? As an all-time Skryre fanboy, I always disliked the plague monks being so central to so many army builds. For a while it seemed you HAD to have a big block of them, and I never liked the models or the lore.

    What's on your mind?

Pretty much. I based some of my old metal Munda models on MDF toppers, and though I never used baking soda, I did use long pins and two applications of superglue, unpainted MDF tends to slurp that stuff up.

    What's on your mind?

I remembered them mostly because a friend explained what they were when he played one for the "A rough night at the three feathers" WHFRPG oneshot. Did not go well for him. Or the inn. Or anyone, really. Oh, looked it up, Gnomes were introduced as a race for the new edition in Rough Nights and...

    What's on your mind?

Somewhere around 3rd edition of WHFB, apparently. There were a few minis for them, but they sort of faded into the background everywhere but in the Warhammer RPG.

    Tiny's Stuff - Necromunda, Gorkamorka, 40k etc.

Been using shells on my Death Guard bases for a while and can confirm, as long as they are properly dried out, they smell like nothing.

And interesting place to encounter the Ali G movie again, after all these years.

    Finish Your Stuff Challenge 2024

As usual, the end of the month creeps up on me, but the poll is in and the 5 most winningest Yaks of February were: @Tiny @MedMos @Captain Brown @SuboptimusPrime @Lord_Ikka @daveh Yes that's six, yes that's due to ties.

    New models incoming

Please just tell me to hold my vox-grid if I'm being impolite, but what is all the hubbub about a Delaque vehicle anyway? Do you want to see it so you can lambast it? Because again, please don't take me wrong, but my overall feeling here on the forum was that most people, at best, didn't care...

Guess it's like with Discworld dwarves. Under six layers of chainmail and leather, who can tell the difference?

    What's on your mind?

Not going to deny their fiddliness, and if I recall correctly, I trimmed most of the pegs and push connectors off, following advice from Goonhammer. Made the whole thing tolerable, but by no means fun.

Necromunda The ballad of how I lost my mind and decided to paint a ton of stuff

Well now I know, bummer. But sadly that sort of idea theft has been a part of modern economy and capitalism at least since Thomas Edison stole ideas from Nicolai Tesla. Sometimes you can avoid being complicit in it, sometimes you can't. But anyway, I'll get around to trying this thing out...

Necromunda The ballad of how I lost my mind and decided to paint a ton of stuff

So a package arrived from Spain: Green Stuff World have a bit of a shady reputation, i.e. they are "inspired" by other companies' ideas quite often, but as far as I can see, these tentacle-roller plates are their ideas, and I'm looking forward to trying them. Besides that, the boys are based...
