Something this project has hammered home: Warhammer 40K's 28mm "Heroic" isn't a scale, it's an art style.
These are Ork-scale versions of some Vietnam-era SOG gear (clockwise):
Carl Gustav M/45 ("Swedish K")
M3A1 "Grease Gun" (suppressed)
Figuring out which...
The buggy now has a gunner!
He still needs his topknot but otherwise he's done. He also isn't glued it (neither is the driver).
Next up - the rear of the vehicle.
If I've got my spacing right there should be room for a 25mm base on each side of the engine!
Work on my buggy has continued!
The engine is now a V6 (it was getting in the way of the speargun cupola) and the driver has some cockpit (?) detailing. I removed his steering wheel temporarily to let me get access to work on his head. I'm slowly trying to improve my sculpting skills on Ork...
Speaking of old projects I foolishly decided to remove something from my to do list. There's not many scribbles in my original copy of Da Uvver Book but there's one note left for future me by my eleven year old self:
I reckon I now at last have the skill to scratchbuild it, so I'm doing...
There's something very weird going on with my Nuln Oil but I'm getting there on the windows of my Ork Brewhouse:
I've started on the green for the opposing diamonds in the windows but I don't have photos of that yet - something to worry about when I've got the Nuln Oil sorted out!
