Necromunda Fluffybunny log - Necro, terrain, 40k

Contrast paint was relatively simple. Lahmian medium plus ink/paint, 50:50 mix of medium to colour, drop of flow aid. Made in batches, stored in a dropper bottle. Using two different paint/ink types of the same colour helps create a richer colour - if you dilute an ink you notice the separate...

Next up, my brother has ripped apart all the terrain to rebuild as a modular set of boards. 12" x 12", using 2 inch of foam insulation to create an initial riser layer. The pieces are all pretty random, lots of our plaster stuff we cast years ago, and raided poundland and toys for random crap...

9 months of lockdown and not and single post, but i have been busy... first up, I've resisted all purchases and am trying to get through the backlog of Orks. 217 done. used home made contrast paints, nothing stellar but tabletop worthy. Bases not done yet, need to make up a big batch of basing...

    Are Contrast Paints Acrylics?

I tried out that vids technique. It's easy to make up your own. Used a variety of inks and paint brands. Ones with less pigment just take two coats. Much cheaper making your own. And it's great for basic table top ready army. I got 217 orks done in about 2 months, no idea how long it would...

    3D Space Hulk project

if the plaster is 1cm thick it would be strong enough for walls by itself. floor tiles can be 3-5mm thick and still work, just glue them to foamboard for strength, or make them cm thick too. I've done a whole board with 'fine casting plaster', and a titan. £15 for 25kg. Dental would be better...

A year since I posted, progress has been slow... Not proper pics but i have done the Delaque, may add more later, happy with them, have also done the bases., look nice and creepy. here's the printed and miscast piles. Things like the doors and terrain details are pretty easy, so depends on how adventurous you are. minis are much harder. on an 4 sheet for scale. can show them painted up later as white is not the easiest to show off with my photo skills.

No, its LCD. So its a pool or resin, which a build plate presses through so that its practically touching the see-through bottom. A UV light shines through from beneath it for a few seconds to cure the thin layer of liquid resin between the build plate, then the plate its attached to moves up...

Hi All, Back from a 4 month hiatus, life must have been unbearable for you all without my updates. Got a 3d printer for christmas - Anycubic, £350, pretty good so far and easy to use. Took 30 mins to put it together, then 30 mins to earn how to use it. All pretty easy and anyone could do it...

    Alternative Zone Mortalis Walls

Those look great. I did my own too, takes an age but worth it in the end. Here if you're interested. For variety: Try making some with windows and doors all the way through Make one with the tunnel pre-built into it. Door terminals built in. Hollow one out and bung shelving/pipes in.

    Thunderdome

Multiple gangs for the regulars is an obvious one if they go for it, but another one we tried was neutral gangs. So arbites, spyrers, etc weren't owned by anyone, and a player that gets ahead can play them for a bit of variety, and do their post game. Then you have an enemy which progresses as...

All scenarios should use random selection!

I'd prefer to double the gang size, but then each cycle you have to split it into two even halves. Random half is chosen for first scenario you play, other half plays in the next one. Next cycle you can redistribute the gangs again.

well it would kill off all the rodents and insects, so it would be stupid not to do it really. Plus the added benefit that you may develop super powers, whats not to like?

and now for something completely different, @Alobar 's recent board. ZM walls plus various posters for detail But the main one is an odd one for necro - a clean white look, everything still new and functioning. Still needs some scatter but pretty much a complete board now. Mostly mdf stuff...

Finally finished! Complete the highlighting, think this pic shows it better Painted the pipes blue, and barrels green and grey. Could probably highlight the pipes a bit more but happy with them for now, maybe change them up later if needs a revamp in a few years. Then printed out some...
