ORB A Growing Populace (New Minis WIP)

My experience is that GS starts going bad after about a year in a plastic clamshell pack, then it starts going lumpy when mixed. Milliput lasts longer than that, but becomes very hard to mix, adding a teeny drop of machine oil seems to help a bit, but I have no idea if that's a good idea longterm.
 
The grey roll in Milliput always seems to encase itself in a brown crust after a year or so. Ironically though you can just pick it off and the stuff inside is usually fine!

With Green Stuff it seems to like being mixed in volume, so if you pinch off a little bit of yellow and blue and mix, it takes an age to actually react. What’s if you mix up a bigger ball of it the chemical reaction seems to kick off better.
So to that end I only use GS when I want to use it in bulk.
For smaller use Milliput seems better.

RL has decided that I need no hobby time recently, so I’m not sure when I’ll get to start playing with the milliput. I might try to redo my Tzneetch familiar for the Path to Glory warband…
 
Hell yeah! I ordered a group of convention exclusives from Bombshell and they arrived today!

On the left is a female wizard, because I’m really in the mood to make a Mordheim warband for some reason. The box on the right will become a daemonhost for my Inquisitor warband. And in the middle are the three I’m most excited about. Seriously, I’m giddy. The aliens from Heavy Metal! “Do we have any of that plutonium nyborg left?”

The boxed ones were called exclusives (Adepticon), and the trio were from something last year? I really wanted the trio, so when I saw them back up as limited release I had to get them. Maybe they were leftovers?
 
Looking good. BTW, I think Bombshell is doing a sale this weekend on all their metal minis.
 
They are! I bought a ton. Should be here tomorrow. It sounds like they’re discontinuing their metal models. Which sucks, because I prefer metal models.

Ooh yeah! All the metals i ordered from Bombshell Mini’s close-out sale (metal minis only) arrived today! Invoice says they’re all there, which has me relieved as a couple were “only 1 remaining.” I have no idea if they’ll be reissued as resin/plastic. I could ask, I suppose?

I’ll post pics later. I think I ordered 15 minis?
 
Nice haul. And from what I understand, they likely will be redone in resin in the future.
 
Ah, classic metal. It seems they’re going to 3D Printing though from what I read somewhere. Maybe these older sculpts will just be resin.

Shame in some way as I do like the heft of metal.
