ORB A Growing Populace (New Minis WIP)

I probably should have chosen something for the YakComp “Hot Hot Hot” but I had put these guys on the back burner because one option had been a ships crew. They were limited edition from Bombshell Miniatures, and I swore if they were ever offered again I’d pick them up. Now they’re WIP. I highly doubt they’ll be done in time for this months FYSC, but then again, there’s only three of them…

I could be wrong but they look like two wyrd/mutants with pyromancy and their heretical AI servitor friend who's ditched the extinguisher fuel load for promethium so he can burn the world with his buddies.

Finished up the crew from the “So Beautiful So Dangerous” segment of Heavy Metal (1981 Movie). I found their names online, and apparently they’re space scavengers.

I’ve spent long hours staring at the computer researching possible color schemes for my squad of ComBots. Bombshell has them as GDF troops, but I think I want them a bit more versatile. Maybe bad guys, maybe a gang of sentient robots? So here’s the idea I’ve sorta settled on after browsing so many pages of “sci-fi robots” “evil robot troops” “space age robots” etc. I think they’ll have personalized helmets. I doubt robot drones would need such a thing, as they’d probably be monitoring transponders with unique ID codes. But I want something besides codes painted on the base or something to tell them apart. Plus, if I want, I’d be able to use them as a gang of rogue robots or something. The crimson fist is a unit identifier / homage to Rogue Trader.
