You can even rub shoulders with our personal celebrity; the Captain, who while often found at the helm is happy to talk to passengers on his frequent walks of the ship!

Passengers of all kinds can even delight in fanciful frivolities on-deck:

The USS Leviathan also boasts not inconsiderable cargo space (subject to availability and weight, at the discretion of the Captain), so bringing your possessions is perfectly possible!

Worried that you don't have sufficient funds to purchase a ticket? Fear not! If you possess relevant experience and ability, you may also apply for a temporary work position aboard the boat, as hard work and diligence are just as valuable as cold hard currency (no high-ranking or commissioned positions are available for single-trip passengers, positions may depend on physical prowess, uniforms may be required for some positions where cost will be taken from pay).

Don't delay, book your ticket or express your interest today!

OOC details:

This is intended to be a drop-in/out RPG campaign lasting across the weekend (potentially starting on Friday evening depending on interest). While it would be great to have players throughout, I don't want to stop people from doing other things over the weekend.

The intended system is the Basic Roleplaying (BRP) system - Quickstart rules for reference are available at:

I'm hoping for a minimum of three players at any one time, but I can be flexible on that; a theoretical maximum would be probably eight players - again, depending on how popular the RPG is it should be definitely scalable.

I'll pre-roll characters for people to use on the day, but I highly encourage creating your own character for me to then place into the campaign ahead of time; post your character idea, then we can workshop it and add it to the roster.

Some ideas:

A Busboy working in the kitchens to pay his way across to a new life in New York
A Coalman, working in the bowels of the ship shovelling coal to keep the engines running
A Private Detective hired by the cruiseline operator to be stationed on the ship as part of the crew, or as part of a security detail to a person or object being transported
A Vagrant Stowaway clutching to their meagre possessions out of sight in the hold
An Aspiring Actor looking to work on the silver screen
A Big Game hunter returning home after a jaunt across the continent, or heading out to the Great Plains to hunt American animals
A Mystic, alerted to some great unknown portent or evil aura that you must investigate and potentially thwart
A Dilettante looking for new thrills in the clubs of New York, or on their way to Las Vegas
A Business Magnate looking to expand to the United States, or returning home to see to their business affairs
A Journalist, hoping for a big High Society piece aboard the Leviathan
One of the acts on board, such as a Stage Magician (with a Glamourous Assistant) or Singer
An Academic in one field or another, heading to New York for a recently opened faculty position, or to see/host a symposium on their latest discovery
An Engineer, hired to inspect the ship for suitability for improving, overhauling or decommissioning
A Criminal, luckily escaping arrest and sneaking aboard - either under their own name, or pretending to be another passenger (maybe private message me about this if you want to keep it a secret)

I'll generate sufficient characters to have both high- and low-society opportunities available, regardless of pre-event input, even for drop-in/out play. The intent is that players can take a character, play them, drop out and do something else (with their character going elsewhere on the ship) and come back (where their character reappears to the rest of the party) without having to swap characters (unless they want to change characters).

Any other questions/queries, let me know.
