Anime Corner

I remember Soldats explaining Chocolove's weird puns when they fansubbed Shaman King... Good times.

Watched afew anime’s on Netflix lately, in a vain attempt to escape reality.

stand out ones were, cyberpunk edgerunners, Gundam 1+2, and this one about a dimension travelling Roman bath house engineer!?! (Turns out japanese are responsible for all the best ancient Roman bathing ideas!)

Watched a few stinkers too, but don’t care to recall them, the worst being some animal high school, Where the wolf has a thing for a sheep but there’s some deer having his way with her but he wants to be a carnivore ....or something!?

I try not to think of it at all! I thought animals of farthing wood was bad enough, now I’m haunted by the image of a super sexy sheep! 😄😄

p.s. just checked, and it was actually a rabbit, just shows where I was looking 😄

BNA (brand new animal) is a better show if you want some furry action. Sticking with Netflix, Romantic Killer is actually pretty good.

I’ve been watching new season first episodes on Crunchyroll and HiDive. And I must say, there have been a few “wtf did I just watch?!?” along with the usual high amount of Isekai. (Yawn). Ridiculous titles aplenty. And I must admit that HiDive’s format is driving me nuts. Such a clunky streaming service.

I was happy to see Eden’s Zero has new episodes. I didn’t see anything about it returning.

Isekai Ojisan just had the rest of the first season's episodes drop on Netflix... especially love this one because I'm obsessed with Sega. Having the ice mage sing the Starlight Zone theme to the isekai protagonist was just perfect.

Just seen a trailer for Suzume, about a talking cat as far as I can tell.

Looks interesting, apparently it’ll be in the cinema.

Yeah, we saw the trailer for that when we went to Ghost in the Shell at the local theater. I'd never heard of it but it looks worth checking out. Looks like it will be playing both at the same arthouse theater and one of the bigger places in town.

I’ve seen ads for it all over Facebook and Instagram, and they’re hyping it up. Apparently it’s a new anime studio/creator.

New season is hitting three episodes in, and I honestly don’t know what to think about the season over all. There are a few that I couldn’t even watch the first episode for, and that rarely happens.

Got distracted this afternoon having discovered the Girls Und Panzer anime. Looked at some 15mm tanks, watched a few clips online, read a few threads on using FoW or World of Tanks to represent the different high school teams (remembered I like tanks but not enough to learn the differences between the 10 variants of a given tank), looked for 15mm schoolgirl models, and managed not to buy anything. All in all I've had worse afternoons.

I'd probably use something like Too Fat Lardies "What a Tanker!"... the movie is worth checking out in particular, if for no other reason than seeing a P.1000 Ratte being used as a sort of theme park/shopping mall sort of thing.

Yeah, after watching it I felt like wanting to get some tank battles in! I second the “What a Tanker” rules, straight to the point… tanks tanks and more tanks.

I don’t think I’d be using that sort of search term for miniatures though!! Plus you don’t really need them.

I don’t know what I was expecting, but a movie-length first episode definitely wasn’t on the list of possibilities…

Oshi No Ko.

Click that suspicious link??? No way!! It’s probably one of those Dark web type things.

Is that really you Punky??

Yup. It’s really only wrong if you’ve seen Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. And liked Rebecca.

it’s an Adam Smasher mug with a flattened Rebecca coaster
