Necromunda Bacon's Underhive Builds - Conversions A-Go-Go

Can Beastmasters have spiders in O:CE? I hadn't noticed that. I always thought it was an odd omission from the ORB.

Do it anyway though.

Probably not, but I'll just proxy them as one of the other types. The one I made JUST DAYS BEFORE YAK18 AND AM NOT SORE ABOUT THE TIMING HONEST uses Tyranid Rippers as his beastie besties. I'll just count them as Rats or Milliasaurs or something.

Or maybe we could brainstorm some house rules for all the YAK18 critter creations?

Would be cool if there was a thread about new/alt rules for Beastmasters. :)

Had always thought that they should be able to take a wider variety of pets, and that they should have their own Primary Power table...

...mebe with powers such as being able to summon another pet if all of them are dead, or giving stat buffs/abilities to the lil critters.

If someone does start a thread about Beastmasters, could you include the rules and wyrd minor power table? My laptop is dead and I want to roll up stats for my entry ;-)

What could THIS have to do with my Yak entry?

This is shaping up fantastically Xav!!

Really love the theme and it's a very dynamic & fun pose too.

Quit yer whinin' and get painting!

(Anyway all this means is that you've already had a practice run!! - this should put you miles ahead already!, and by the looks of it so far it has!)

Ace work Mr Bacon.

Tiny bit more work on the Bat earlier, but I was mostly sidetracked. My girlfriend found a bag of old plastic Squats I'd lost in a cupboard. I paintstripped, disassembled, rebuilt and converted them, and lo! Behold! Squat Ratlings. Squatlings?

The non-original arms on the squad leader are from Empire Militia.

Mostly sharing here as I figured the sniper rifle recipe might be useful... OK, the sniper rifles are boltguns with the magwell and pistol grip removed, with various diameters of styrene rod and tube and a little green stuff added. Some swearing whilst waiting for polystyrene cement to stick barrels to receivers and attempting to keep them true!!!

I quite often adapt one weapon into another. I figure Imperial Manufactorums would use common receiver design cues across weapons, much as real world arms manufacturers do. In this regard I think the bolter receiver works here. When painted up it'll not be so starkly 'bolter with bits on', as the steel paintjob will blend the parts together. The offset scope is based on some real world ones, but mainly so the two aiming dudes can actually look down the scope's tube! They can also use the iron sights on top for quick close-range target acquisition. Tacticool!

Now I have six more to make up... ugh, more tiny-bits-of-styrene madness!!!

Guys, today is a sad day.

I lost someone dear.

Firm Tip Cone Point bit the dust, giving his haft to complete the last of a batch of TLDWBLWs (Twin-Linked Devourers With Brain Leech Worms, for the non-Nid players!).

"Pointy" as he was known was firm, but fair, but mostly firm. He was instrumental in much of my sculpting, largely because he was a sculpting instrument.

Fortunately, he is succeeded by his identical brother "Firm Pointy Two What I Ordered In Error But Luckily Kept" so no sculpting downtime will be required.

There will be a short service tomorrow, held at the local Shrine to the Emperor, followed by a meal at Hive Guys.
