Banners and Idols in Inquisimuda

Whilst going trough my bitsbox looking for Imperial Guard bits I noticed I have a lot of banners and flags laying around, un-used. There is, however, no way in Inquisimunda at the moment to use a banner and have rules for it.

So I came up with the following:

Banner/Idol - 50TG - Rare

A banner or idol doubles the range of friendly models within 6” of the leader may use its Leadership when taking any Leadership test to 12" if the model has LOS on the banner or idol.

Any thoughts?

It's a **great** idea.

I think it's a universal wargear. Think dark eldar grisly trophies or orks boss poles, chaos icons, etc.

For that price, maybe it should also help escaping pinning too. Either in range or via a reroll?

Well the idea was that all warbands could use a banner or idol.

One of my local players noted that the banner now gives an advantage, even when you don't see it, so I updated the rules that the banner must be in LOS.

I don't know about this, while I certainly like the banner/idol thing I think it would be more interesting to only allow certain fitting armies to carry such a thing, giving it to everyone would just make it bland and an other piece of equipment. Plus it just doesn't fit most bands imo, the ad mech isn't seen carrying banners, the IG strike force is supposed to be an elite force not a company, the underhive gangs don't fit either and so on.

Imo it should be limited to chaos warband, Ecclesiarchal delegations and Orks and the effect should be different for each one of them.

I also like the banner to be warband-specific.

I like Evin's idea for an IG banner. An Ork banner could give them a once per battle CC-bonus, a chaos banner an extra spell once per game etc.

I love it for some warbands. It's perfect for Orks and especially Inquisitorial Warbands, also Nobles and Chaos.
