Beginners guide to Yaktribe

I am sure I have seen this elsewhere but I couldn't find it with search - I'm sorry!

Is there a beginners guide to using the forums? I guess all I really want to know is how many posts I need to make before I can get a profile picture etc..

Oh and as a quick answer to the question, 10 posts makes you a juve... then you can have a gallery, post pics and I believe have an avatar

What's the deal with attaching a photo to a post?

You should be able to link a photo from another site into your post already, but now your at 10 posts, once it uprates you to a juve, you can have a gallery and the pic icon in the stuff just above where you type (I think) brings up your gallery pics so you can just click em and they appear in your post

Thanks for your quick reply Does that mean I have to put the pic in my gallery if it is not already uploaded somewhere on the web? i.e. in the case that I want to include a picture that I have on my desktop in order to illustrate a post?

hmm... I think you can attach files to the psot... I can do that by just dragging the file over the box where I'm typing and it gives me the option to attach/upload the file... I assume a pic can be uploaded like this too (then once it's uploaded and appeared below the post, I think there is a 'thumbnail' bit of text next to it that will put a small pic of the attachment into your post). Hope that helps

I think it may be cos I'm still a green juve - currently I get a msg that says 'uploads not available' - when the bots kick in or whatever, and I level up, then I will try again
