Hello!

I needed a Necromunda gang to play with someone introducing me to the newer edition of the game. The old cawdor models is something that really got me hooked on the hobby as a kid way back in the 90s - so I really wanted to do something that made the most of those models! I had a load kicking about, so have attempted to 'update' them with various gun swaps and leg extensions. Slowly just greenstuffing them now...

It's working out lovely, those old guys look good a little taller even with just skinny wire leg bones.. The Emperor favours the bold!

Some more small updates!

I really didn't like the beard on the leader guy, so swapped it for an old mitre I had kicking around. Also taking a stab at the Stig Shambler.

Been making more Juves.

Those misty mountain goblins make for perfect, malnourished bone pickers. How do they scale with the official Juvie models?
They match very closely to the old metal juves (which suits me as I'm having 'short' juves compared to my taller gangers).

Heads match pretty well - they're taken from the Perry Madhist Ansar set (Perrys also did the Cawdor gang).

Decided to redo my leader. After all the gobbo Cawdor conversions he just started to feel increasingly dull - so really wanted to make him a bit more dynamic and bonkers. A caveat is he needs a larger base for his wide stance!

I liked the old one but that’s a fantastic new version, I can smell the fanatical devotion from here.

What’s your plan for paint?
Thanks! By the time I’d finished I realised I could have just had two figures (the original plan was to just tilt the head and give him a book!

Painting wise I’m probably going with various brick colour robes - with more red to distinguish the redemptionist options - and black/metal guns maybe?

I’ve got the 40k 3ed art as my desktop and keep fixating on this guy…

I wasn’t going to do a heavy crossbow guy as I really wasn’t into the model for it - and couldn’t think of a way to convert one with the old models I had kicking around.

But then I saw the age of sigmar kruleboyz that had these massive crossbows! It was going to be a weapon swap, but I sort of liked the humongous dimensions that they have, that sort of visually ties in with the goblin juves.

An update! The gang still isn't painted - but they have had a few fights now!

I had a bit of a mad moment and wanted to redo a few of the figures...

Deacon (Grenade Launcher and Cult Icon), Leader (Chainglaive), Champion (Heavy Crossbow), Specialist (Long Rifle)

Ooh, the dangers of remodelling... ;) I hope you get some paint on them at some point, will be awesome to see how you do with the colour palette!
