After Christmas with the out-laws, I've been spending new year and my birthday with my family. Still no actually hobbying, but I've been collecting more supplies.
Yesterday I acquired the plastic skull shown off here

It will be a pain fitting that in my luggage, what with various presents we've picked up too. Now I know it's around for at least another week or two, I may try to get another once we're home.
This afternoon my partner suggested a little walk so, since my mum's is near an out of town retail park, I suggested going over that way to browse for anything of interest. There's a chiefly aquatic pet-shop where I wanted to look for interesting scenery. I drew a blank looking at their little castles and caves, but picked up some bargain plastic plants:
I'm not sure how much the one on the right was suppose to be (maybe £9.79, like the other larger one), but this was about £25-30 RRP's worth of plants for £3 from the clearance bucket. I figure that this is enough vegetation for my wargaming needs - in fact, probably more than enough, since I'm generally going for a barren desert-like table that could suit Gorkamorka, Necromunda, Frostgrave, etc.
I think I'll just cut them up into small pieces that can be fixed in place temporarily with blu tack. Maybe at some point in the future I'll base them properly, but this should be quick, easy, and flexible.
