Been a bit busy going into the exam period now, so its a bit tough getting time to play at the moment. We can restart the campaign or continue, I'm agnostic on that front.

I like the idea of limiting weapons. I'd vote for keeping special weapons as for initial teams (i.e. only on leader, champions and one ganger. Possibly specialists), and bumping the bolter to special status. Hell, if it were up to me, I'd also house rule that one could have no more than three of one weapon in the team :)

Real name: How Cares?
Yaktribe name: Joe Qastus
House and name of the gang played at the moment: Venator
Other systems played (e.g. Killteam, 40K, AoS etc): no Killteam, 40k (SM, Knights), AOS (Slaanesh)

A restart would be fine and i would like to see a rule that causes territory lose due inaktivity.
I also dislike Houserules to avoid limitations and the abusiv use of special Weapons and skills.
(I'm guilty in both, i listend to someone, maxed my ganger and lost a lot of fun.)

It's quite usual, that there are players who want to play as much as possible and those who like to play but cannot due to work and family matters (there are some who just became parents last year). Also there are some who wants to play other games as well and have to split their free time between the games. And I can fully understand that family or jobs come first in priority. But I also want these players to participate, so I don't want any rules to punish or discourage them for not being as active as others.

Trying to get the balance for all player in the campaign rules is my formost aim. This means being inactive doesn't slow the other players down. And being an active player with an experienced gang shouldn't encourage players with lower gang rating or even vaporize them in the first round of play. At the same time the rules have to be as simple as possible, without to many house rules or restrictions.Thats why I like the idea of the classic / eternal campaigns... 5 territories for everybody, if you are active you get experience and skills, if you are not, then you get House Favours if you are an underdog playing against someone who has much more points. But the territories have no effect on a map. There's a PDF from a Gaming Group from Seattle, which I find most appealing: Eternal Campaigns Ruleset

Than there is my next aim: I want the campaign to be narrative somehow, but my last attemp with special scenarios for multiplayer games (at least the half of the campaign members should have been present) has failed, because we couldn't coordinate a date, where all players could come to the same place. At the moment I'm a bit stumped how to merge all my personal aims with the interests and the wishes of all players. So any suggestions or ideas are highly appreciated!

I think that we should just try to set up some narrative games without the pressure to have everyone present - we can just come up with a cool idea for a game and set a date and then see who wants to show up

regarding the campaign system I would prioritize something simple where it is easy to be active when you can without having to worry too much about territory etc.

Just an idea: Should we make heavy and special wapons available for champions and bosses only (and gangers who become specialists?)??
Edit: Also: Should Long Rifles and Bolters be counted as Special Weapons?

my only worry would be that people will then be "forced" get the special weapons on the champs/leaders - and as they are all ranged this might do even more to deter people from engaging in (glorious and dramatic) close combat - but I would say lets try it and see!

I have looked at it now - It seems not sooooo easy to do a "pick up game" for any casual players due to the territory design and more complicated upkeep rules, but it really does seem better than what is the official gw system!
