So, I grabbed a blood bowl box of the Chaos dudes. Thing is, that's all I've got.

Can someone help me and let me know what I need?

I mean do I really need to get the boxed game with humans and orks to get the instructions, or is there some other way that could be conveniently linked in my private messages?

COUGH COUGH COUGH

Also yeah I need to know exactly what I'm supposed to have to play this.

you might be able to snag the rulebook off ebay, sometimes people sell the box set components seperately. The blood bowl almanac is also great, and you only need that once. Honestly if you can play with someone who has the rulebook and their own team, and you have the spike magazine for chaos then you can get away with just that alone. If you plan on running leagues and getting in deep then maybe consider the almanac. But keep in mind the core rules are only in the core rules booklet in the starter.

They are also available separately as an e-pub, if you prefer. The only other book you would need is the almanac (a compilation of the first two supplements, WD rules and a few extra rules)
Other than that, all you need is a few block dice and D6, a D16, a D8, a pitch/dugouts (lots of printable ones you can find with a google search, or just make your own), a ruler, and that's about it (unless you plan to use the cards but I heard they were about as controversial as the N17 ones).

The older Living Rulebook should still be online somewhere. Very little has changed in the basic rules, though various things have been added (in the Almanac).

If you don't have a board (pitch), dice, templates, etc then the box set is a fairly good way to get everything.

Yep, the old rulebook (search for bloodbowl lrb 6) plus one of the many compilations of changes that you can find. The core rules didn’t change at all so the compilations are pretty light and mostly concern extra stuff like incentives and star players.

First, come back in 7 years. Oh, there you are! Yes, a rulebook (hardback or digital), Team(s) (GW or 3D). A pitch (British for playing field? GW or 3rd party, ETSY is your friend). BB dice. Templates (range and scatter, if not printed on the third party pitch). It's a miniatures game. So...

Ah cool, got back into it? :) You can always do like me and play something manly that don´t throw and skip that passing template... ;)

BB is fun though.

Are you nuts! I play passing teams all the time! I probably own the record for re-rolling "ones" to fail a pass or catch. My friend playing Orcs has more successful passes in our last game (2), than I've ever had in entire seasons of playing Elves. My last "successful" pass (with Elven Union) was intercepted by a Chaos Dwarf (boxcars).
