I've been toying around with an idea for a way to shake up a campaign half way through, the idea is that once a gang has some tough fighters with good gear they can send a small group of their hardiest fighters to take on the equivalent of a boss fight from an RPG computer game (final fantasy style) in a high risk high reward kind of situation and/or give the players something a little different to spice things up as it can also be done as a co-op raid with up to 4 players each sending one (or more) of their fighters to participate.

I've used the Escher Khimerix as the big bad but I've added some improvements to make it a bit tougher and the scenario has a few special rules to really make it feel like a boss fight.
I've only tested it with zone mortalis terrain so far so I'm unsure how well it will work in a 3D setting but have added extra rules for that and will eventually test it once I get my terrain built (I really should get a move on with that).
The tests carried out were also with fresh gangs as opposed to the battle hardened/scarred mid-campaign gangs it is intended for so again will need to test what impact that will have on the scenario if any.

If you want to check it out its in the resource section under "Slaying the Beast" or just click here C&C welcome.

Already noticed some bad wording with regards to wounding the Khimerix will upload an updated version ASAP but in true GW style here's a quick errata:
Replace the lines:
"Any flesh wounds this model receives are ignored.

Any out of action/serious injuries this model receives are considered to be flesh wounds."

With:
"When rolling the injury dice flesh wound results this model receives are ignored.

When rolling the injury dice any out of action/serious injury results this model receives inflict a flesh wound."
