So, We were trying to find ways to make bounty hunters more viable in a Dominion Campaign without having them over powered. I think we figured it out.

Bounty hunters, the first time you buy them cost the price of their gear on top of the 80 credits base price.
if i bounty hunter ditches the gang then you may rehire that particular hunter for only 80 credits. bounty hunters ARE subject to lasting injuries and death.

If during the coarse of a campaign a fighter kills a fighter from another gang, then a bounty is put on their head (so far we go with a base line bounty, 25 creds for a ganger or juve, 50 for a champion and 100 for a leader)

when challenged by another gang that has bounties associated with your gang then you may hire a bounty hunter minus credits of all the bounties added together. when rehiring bounty hunters these credits may not be applied, it only effects the first hire. so when playing a gang for example who has killed one of your juves and one of your champions and still has the offending fighters on their gang roster, you would subtract 75 points from the total cost of a new bounty hunter.

So it ends up being a game balancing mechanic, like start players in blood bowl. and hive scum we were going to make up a random chart of scum who you roll randomly for, some equipped with as little as a stub gun and some who use the full 60 points. you pay only the 30 points for them, and may rehire after they have been drafted once.

I think the answer is to wait until the next book where all indications are that they’re going to address bounty hunters (almost definitely Venator gangs - but you imagine Bounty Hunters as well)

So bounty hunters stick around now if you don't collect bounties. Makes them worth it in my opinion.
