When I was in the DIY, I saw inch thick (abouts) MDF as well. Might be I'm going for that instead and have the dude saw it into strips of 3 inches high. I noticed on this board, he doesn't have the building amongst the platforms so that's got nothing to do with aligning up with building sizes and measurements. (Malifaux stuff is 5 cm, Mordheim is 5,5 cm. I'm sure that's on purpose grrr.)

Damn @Tulkas, now I'm feeling really behind the curve! That board is awesome, just a shame he didn't get a finished shot in loaded with buildings and models. Thanks for posting that straight on my favourites list. (y)

Thanks for the compliments fellers. The buildings shown in that blog are exactly the sort that I have had in my head as aspiration. Having pictures of what people have done will greatly help in getting my head round making ruined buildings (i.e. copying them!).

That also linked to another great blog (if you do foreign languages?);

Which then links to the sexist table I have ever seen;:notworthy:

Man, what I wouldn't give to lay my hands on a cheap set of walls like that... It'd get a big gaping hole on the middle of it but it'd be a centerpiece on any Mordheim table.

Yeah I recognised it. Still would like it cheap tho ^^ I imagine one of the gate doors being wide open, the other one smashed out of its hinges, some skeleton bits underneath it. In the centre of the table it could be really cool, if you smash enoug holes in the wall along side it for people to get from one end to the other. 'd be great sniping bottlenecks.

Teehee!

I'll not be bidding this time, need to get a job first before I load in the big boxes but it's a bargain for anyone willing to snipe at it! Saves you 51 pounds from the GW store.

:D Same here mate, eBay's F' in addictive. Always thought I'd be a bad gambler (hence I never gone to a Casino) but eBay is just like it. "I bet I could get this for X amount" and then you do and you think "the f**k am I doing with it now?"

I have an upcoming project that's in the pipeline, yes, I'm going to be starting on some Mordheim stuff, Minis and Scenery - I'll be posting up some simple one and two storey buildings first - in my usual style so you can see all the stages thru to completion.
Hopefully, it might be useful for some people! :)

@ntw3001 Yeah it's a pretty sound crowd, there's usually a campaign of some sort being organised. Worth a look if you are in the area.

@djmothra I look forward to that - I'm always looking for more ideas to steal! :)

On that topic I looked at a book I've had on the shelf for years called The Generals Compendium by GW and in amongst the WFB stuff there's allot of great Empire town scenery and some articles on ruins/fire damage and ship building. Well worth the effort if you can lay your hands on one.

Awesome, will be using many of these rules for the fantasy campaign I am currently running, and the modelling side for mordhiem as well!

Also, both those fortresses are now in the watched group unless someone heres planning on going for them? been needing some fortresses for planned sieges soon!

Yeah not many people seem to know that book as it was done by GWUS.

Of course if you want to do real complex Sieges (why would you?) there's always the Warhammer Siege book from WHFB 3rd Edition. Which includes supplies, starvation, Sallies and more war machines and equipment than you can shake a shitty stick at!

I'm also following those fortress' but don't let that stop you. I'm tempted at £20 but am using max willpower not to bid and only have 4 more days till I go away for me hols. :)

I won't be getting a Fortress anytime soon, but once I have a job again (and somehow, free time) a section of walls and the gate at least will feature in my Mordheim table.
