N18 Campaign Van Saar list : Hip shooting pistols?

Hello, starting a campaing with 2 friends this week-end, I wanted to go with this :

1. Leader (Hip Shooting): Plasma pistol, Laspistol, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [200]

2. Champion (Hip Shooting): Plasma Pistol, Laspistol, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [180]

3. Champion (Hip Shooting): Plasma Pistol, Laspistol, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [180]

4. Ganger: Lasgun, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [90]

5. Ganger: Lasgun, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [90]

6. Ganger: Lasgun, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [90]

7. Ganger: Lasgun, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [90]

8. Ganger: Lasgun, Bodyglove [75]

The hip-shooting will compensate the M4", so I can move fast and go on objectives with my hard hitters, while the gangers provide a back up long range fire.

What do you think?

Its very samey?

Why not drop the laspistols, and some mesh from gangers and double up on plasma pistols with somebody? Your BS is high enough to not suffer too much from the "two guns blazing" rule, plus it would add some limited variety to your gang

To be honest, I don't mind the list being samey, as long as it works

I took the laspistols as a backup weapon, in case of a bad ammunition roll on the dice, i would like to keep them if I can

In the mid campaign, I plan to add another champion with gravgun + fastshot (to slow the CC hard hitters) and a champion with plasmagun + fastshot, that will add a bit more variety.

Or maybe my leader could take 2 plasma pistols + weaponsmith? Something like this :

1. Leader (Weaponsmith): 2 Plasma pistol, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [245]
2. Augmek (Fast shot): Gravgun, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [245]
3. Augmek (Hip Shooting): Plasma Pistol, Laspistol, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [180]
4. Ganger: Lasgun, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [90]
5. Ganger: Lasgun, Mesh Armor, Bodyglove [90]
6. Ganger: Lasgun, Bodyglove [75]
7. Ganger: Lasgun, Bodyglove [75]

Then I will add a second champion with hip-shot and plasma pistol + laspistol, and finally a last one with fast shot and plasmagun?

Depending on what your friends play, this list is probably completely fine.

If your friends run like, T5 goliaths with plenty of cheap juves and no-gangers-but-juves-and-champs corpsegrinders, you may struggle with this. Against most stuff it should be fine though.

Which list? First one or second one?

I don't know yet what my friends will play, but I play with a lot of other people who run a lot of things anyway, so I was looking for a well rounded list if you know what I mean

Why would I struggle with high T, as I have plasmas though?

I think the comment is more to do with that you will be outnumbered in campaign play.
Many will build a bare bones gang in order to max out on bodies and then upgrade them & add more/better gear as the campaign progresses.

Starting with only 7 models, who are all fairly easy to wound/kill, will mean than 1-2 guys being out of games due to injury will make you even more outnumbered.
