Necromunda Captain's Log

@Orngog
i don’t actually have any yet, but my guestimate would be around 3”. (Hopefully a yak with a set and ruler can confirm?)
but as for using them for some mortalis, I don’t think they would be such a good option! Maybe if you ‘borrowed’ the textures and stuck them to a box frame, it would give you a very ancient catacombs feel, like under a cathedral or a redemptionnists tourtire chamber!?
thinking about it, those portculus doors would look pretty smart in place of the necro ones!

@ClockworkOrange
who would have thought letting you win once would lead to so much suffering!
in those early days I saw you a celebrity I would eagerly play necro with.
Now I see you as some kind of tormented demon Sibling I would eagerly attemt to exercise!
😄😄😋

Before they get repainted, I would just like to make an account of how my first set of Perry Miniatures have looked for the last five years! (Got them Christmas 2015)

I used to know which medieval lords the banners belonged to, but time has wiped my memory!
for those unfamiliar, they are basic set for the War of the Roses (an English Civil War pre The English Civil War)
Absolute fun to paint and put together and very well detailed, highly recommended in the Captain's books!
(not to mention great price, I got them for £18 but I beleive they are £20 now)

Many Thanks kommisar! But they are being redeployed to the Provence of Stirland!...
There have been many sighting of Undead lately and a massive Orc tribe has been reported scouring the worlds edge mountains...
(Some Fantastic stuff happening by some Fantastic Yaks, I encourage every and any yak to join in!)
😁

(Sorry I have been so quiet for so long friend! I will write to you very soon!)

Fantastic work as ever Captain! It seems a shame to repaint them. Maybe just claim they are attached units from another province.

Just under 3" (2 7/8 if you want to be exact). I snagged a cheap set for Frostgrave myself. Something else I need to get painted

Just a little WIP post to keep me motivated! (the Christmas table cloth is a bonus 😋)

Heartily recommend this kit to anyone thinking about starting romans! Lots and lots of options, simple to make and great detail!

Plastic Perry Ancients sounds spectacular!
But alas, they are Victrix!
p.s. i literally took a picture of the packaging on the previous page!

iv had a mad idea about perry minis lately tho - PERRY MINIATURES RISK!
Crate a massive 3D World map
Each yak build and paint one Napolionic Nation
1 infantry mini = 1 army
1 Command min (drummer/Officer)i = 3 armies
1 standard bearer = 5 armies
Have a drink and argue about rules/fall out when teamed up against
good fun

I've done this. Great minds/fools etc. It took ages to draw a Risk map on a 8 foot by 6 foot blackboard. We had Romans, Goths, Knights and Aztecs from various people's historical wargaming collections. If your faction had cavalry that counted as 5, and any form of artillery was 10 (your standard risk stuff really). Added bonus, with a blackboard you can rename countries! For the eternal glory of Buttopia! (I was about 10 or 12)
