Fret not my Captain. They’ll be ready when you are. Buy what you want and what you enjoy. Not much of a progress report, but other than taking part in secret Santa, this is all iv done for near enough a year:
Theban Greek hoplites, only did the ones seen here, not sure why I bought them, but I really love Victrix historical miniatures.
And definately been on some kind of crazy, go for broke, pile of shame’o’rama!
Here’s my birthday haul from September, but iv bought a tyranid army, more perry hostoricals, frostgraves, stargraves, gaslands accessories, Titanicus, grey knights, khorne bloodletters … all still in their boxes.
Iv snapped out of it a bit now, but I’m left feeling ‘what have I done’
Iv got about five+ projects, with the willpower to do non!
Nah nah nah he needs to start small with Verrotwood and then maybe, maybe scale up to Turnip28...which should be done with the Perry models not the Victrix...Could do some Turnip28 with those vicx
If the Captain wants to keep his forest horror modern (while including historical forces involved in the occasional scenario or campaign he could base it on Black Spot. Get some goatmen, modern cops/citizens and a Range Rover or two from Crooked Dice and viola, you’re deep in a French forest dealing with lord knows what. I did enjoy the show.Gray Romans sounds a bit like a Turnip28 force…
Maybe a mix of Mordheim and Man O War/Armada games? Then you could play flee sinking island and hunt the Kraken games in between raids on each others villages. Suppose those could all be simulated through dice rolls on tables modified by Tribe resources, the power level of the tribes shaman, etc.I too have long considered a game where the various tribes of fenris fight each other for resources and glory in the eyes of the gods!
the choosers of the slain would be a fun random encounter plus we’d need rules for longships, beach landings and a host of hideous creatures that could turn up.
