Cardboard boxes - GW style - where to get?

Hey all

Bit of a longshot...

I'm wanting to buy a couple of boxes just to put my Battlefleet Gothic rulebook and tokens in, and ditto for Man O'War (when I've made a complete set).

I'd like to buy a couple of those top loading two part card boxes GW use. The type their starter box sets come in, and also the current 40k Chimera kit (and probably other similar kits).

However I have no idea what I'm looking for other than "cardboard box", which, obviously, isn't much help.

I'm sure they have a specific name/term - anyone here happen to know what it is, or a specific place I can get them?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks @Pagumb

Looks close to what I'm after. Sadly they're in the US, I'm in the UK, and they quote $57.99 shipping for 2 boxes!?!

Not having any luck finding UK sources searching using the term "plain game box" either, just printers who'll do the boxes in bulk for you if you're making a game. I'm guessing you can only get that type of box here in the UK wholesale (from China), not just 1 or 2 for Joe Bloggs on the street...

Hobbycraft sells top-loading storage boxes of various sizes and styles, might be worth a look. Perhaps if you messaged someone on ebay splitting out kits you could arrange to pay a few quid to get a couple of boxes. Probably be happy to sell something they'd normally bin.

Hobbycraft is a good shout. Or anyone like https://www.davpack.co.uk/retail-packaging/gift-boxes/coloured-gift-boxes-with-lids.htm
(Not used just 1st web hit on postal boxes')

Who sells 'postal boxes' or 'retail boxes' /'gift boxes'
Also 'telescopic postal boxes' will get the open lid type rather than the now more common all in1 flap lid style. Postal boxes' tend to be more pricey but more heavy duty than GW or gift boxes. Really depends what level of durability you're after.

Thanks guys.

@Stoof - I'll look at obtaining a Chimera box from ebayers as that seems to be the right size for what I want.

However after much googling last night I don't think I'll be able to get what I want unless it is a used GW box, so, I'll probably abandon the idea of using GW style boxes.

Oh well, it was only a random idea for some reasonable looking storage for my BFG and Man O'War books and tokens, that would also fit nicely into my carry bag.

I'd need a picture to better understand what's being asked for.

I'd also like to ask; why go for cardboard boxes? Clear plastic boxes would help with visibility of tokens and such.

Something like the above, for example, but there are different sizes; also, if you look at Screwfix or Toolstop they've got more rugged boxes with removable components for larger/smaller tokens and carry handles, and you could feasibly put all the tokens you've ever owned in one box if you so chose.

@Ardavion No particular reason, just that I like the look of GW's style of card boxes.

Anyhow I have secured a couple of GW boxes that the Chimera came in, from an ebayer, so that'll be job done when they arrive. Not ideal as I'd rather they were plain, but they'll have to do.

Depending on the exact style of box, you can unfold the flaps and turn the thing inside out. :) Failing that, ask around anyone you know who orders from Forge World - they often ship stuff in plain white boxes; big enough kits will come in a box the same size as the ones you've got.
