Necromunda Cardyfreak's Necromunda plog

They weren’t part of the ash wastes set, I got them in one of the Kill Team Kill Zone packs from a few years ago, it came with a crane and a bunch of containers. The vehicles are in one of the made-to-order sets currently up for pre-order on the GW website, I can get some photos of mine later if you like?
Thank you very much. I’ve taken a few screenshots. It’s just for the inspiration palette so I think I have enough angles from your photos here and that link you showed. This is going to really help. Thanks.

Just a side note, the tractor unit has a really odd shadow in the photo where you can see both units. As if it is being possessed but the daemon can’t make their shadow invisible. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Been making some progress-

I’ve got some of the panels fully basecoated, and a massive chunk half-done with brown, waiting to get a nice spray of of-white to finish the panel base coating stage. After that it’s picking out some details, then a massive wash stage, and finally a good old drybrush and they’ll be done!

There’s sun in those early pictures… I miss those days. When we had sun. ☀️

Good Terrain batching though! I’ve still got a load of stuff to do myself and have been waiting to get things sprayed outside. Before 2025 hopefully.

Got this massive pile of walls and columns halfway done now! I lined them all up similar to this and worked my way across them all, then rotated them to the next face and went across etc, got them all done in super quick time.
Just got the metallics to do next and then it’s wash and drybrush time!

I’ve done the metallics and slapped a shit load of home-brew wash on these buggers. To be honest I kinda wish I didn’t have to wash them cos they looked sooooo clean, but they wouldn’t match the stuff I’d already done so my hands were tied.
Looking forward to drybrushing, picking out the lights, and then have some fun with the large collection of weathering materials I’ve accumulated recently!

Finished the wash and drybrush stage, just the fun detailing stage to do but these are effectively done and tabletop-ready now!
This represents the completion of a project I started a few years ago but was cut short when my health issues flared up. To finally see this stage complete gives me a great sense of satisfaction! I’ve still got the platforms and stairs to do of course, and magnetising, but that won’t take long. These are the meat of the project, and they’re done goddamn it! (Just in time for the ruined Hive Secundus stuff to take its place in my pile of shame haha!)

That is one impressive amount of scenery, especially when you consider it was done all at the same time.

They're looking great. I feel your pain having painted a large magnetised Zone Mortalis set myself. Its fairly mind numbing work.
Yeah it can be pretty daunting staring at piles of scenery like this. Fortunately for me I’d done a slightly smaller batch a few years ago so knew what was achievable, and have a process that works well for batch painting on this scale. Once committed there’s no turning back ha!
I’d upgraded my tools in preparation, and having a workspace to really spread out into helps enormously.
Having these things in place made the process actually enjoyable, especially having the dedicated space to spill into. I didn’t have to put everything away after each session, so picking up where I’d left off was really easy and setting achievable milestones meant I never got burned out on the project. Knowing how cool it will look when it’s done also helped!
If anything, it’s inspired me to get even more of my terrain done, and I’ve got lots of new materials and techniques to try, like oil washes and enamel weathering materials.
Between this and the ash wastes stuff, it’s been a productive few months!
