Necromunda Cardyfreak's Necromunda plog

I thought you meant some kind of filler like for filling dents in cars that you scrape over the thing and sand, didn’t realise there was a spray. Just looked them up and they could be worth a shot so thanks for the tip! I’m fine with the layer lines as they are but I might give it a try on something… any brand recommendations?
AK interactive does a microfiller primer but it's probably to micro in my guess. Tamiya makes a fine filler primer that's very nice and grabs details well but will more than one coat. This is gonna sounds crazy... Rustoleum Filler Primer, the automotive one. It's going to be a little expensive (cheaper than GW lol) but the can will be huge and it will only ever take a single coat. I made the mistake of using it on some GW metals when I was a kid and it made the details SUPER soft, so I have a feeling it would be just about perfect here.

Well this things finished printing anyway

I’ve been having a bit of fun making smashed glass windows for the two towers, too…

There’s still a few things to paint on the walkways but this looked fun so I gave it a bash. Problem is there’s lots of windows on these pieces so I’m going to be busy ha!

Of course such heretical considerations as ease of use and actual playability never entered my mind, and nor shall they! Why should I let the fact I have absolutely nowhere to store this thing get in the way of summoning it into existence? It is the act of creation that is the point; I can, so I WILL!!!
Anyway, the levels clip together so they can be removed in any way a player sees fit, so I imagine it’s quite playable. It could also serve as the entire battlefield if one wanted to do a room-by-room clearing mission or haunted house style zombie blaster round, with each level separated on the table. And if nowt else, it’s a hell of a LOS blocker!

If not this then next.

I had a spare half hour this afternoon and managed to get the first few coats of spray down on the big house.

I’m going for concrete grey outside and a blue tiled roof with copper metal detailing.
Inside, the walls be cracked and chipped, with bleached blues and greens exposing dark brown beneath.

The walls have their spray of brown but I’ll get the airbrush out at some point and get some chipping fluid put down, then coat it with pale blues and light tans/creams, scratch it and chip it, seal it, then have some fun with filters and dirt effects. I’ve got some fun ideas for some narrative elements within the building, really looking forward to this one!

Had a pretty productive morning sneaking some hobby stuff in between the showers.
I’ve been printing loads of Saucerman Studios terrain off in an effort to make an urban environment to fight in and it’s been steadily chugging away over the last few months. I finally decided to have an audit of what I’ve actually got and chuck some spray paint at what’s there! This is about 2/3 of it, I’ve got a bunch of gantries to paint too but I can’t decide if I should base them brown and rust them up, and base them black and drybrush them silver. I think they’ll end up rusty to be honest though, I’ve got a VERY large tub of Dirty Down Rust Effects that’s crying out to be liberally splattered all over something, and this might be the job ha!

This was done while waiting for some enamel washes to dry on the floors and bottom floor walls of the big administratum building.

Not much more to do on this, some exterior detailing and I’ll probably put some of the graffiti transfers on here and there but the back of it is well and truly broke. I’m also going to change the verdigris banding on the walls for rusted iron, then I’ll be able to do some cool dripping effects.

I opted for a black and white marble effect on the staircase, it’ll hopefully look better when it’s got a gloss coat over it.

Been fairly quiet for a while as I’ve been banging out a load more terrain from a Corvus terrain Kickstarter, the UnderNidus District 28 campaign. It prints so quickly and you can fit a whole bunch on the build plate so I’ve been able to get three and four story buildings per print run! I’ve gotten a bit carried away…

As well as all this I’ve chucked a bit of paint at some of the Saucerman Studios stuff I’ve had kicking around.

As well as this I’ve bought the rulebooks for Five Parsecs From Home to get some solo gaming in. I watched a video Peachy made about it and went all in. All my Necro stuff is basically a dust magnet at the moment as I struggle to get any games, so having this solo ruleset is good! I’ve played one game so far and I think it’s a great system, I love a random table and this game has them by the shed-load!
