Cawdor/GW4 Speculations/Discussions

I’m prevesting in some kind of Ash Waste/Gorka Morka style game. Elysian Venator is already in the bag! Holding out for a Goliath, Ork Trukk and Taurox. Worst case scenario I hook up with those Tor Megiddo fellahs.
I've just googled Tor Megiddo, and I must say it looks like a lot of fun. I too invested in a Elysian Venator (although it may have been a Tauros I can't remember) before they diappeared; I plan on using it sometime somehow. I think the other vehicles won't be disappearing, at least for a while.

Oh look,an Ewok Cawdor.

So... a stunted Cawdor riding an overgrown one? A bit too scavvy, if you ask me. One would think that Cawdor would have very low tolerance for physical aberration of any kind.
It doesn’t get much focus generally, but the Imperium (and so the Ecclesiarchy) does distinguish between aberration and mutation. From little things like all Cadians having violet eyes through Catachans being, well, them, to Ratlings and Ogryns, all are variably tolerated. It’s stuff like extra limbs, and suddenly growing tentacles etc. that fall under the Mutation (as in potential warp-taint) label and are to be cleansed in fire.

Yes, but I wouldn't put much stock on uneducated masses - particularly ones known for religious fanaticism - to know the difference between a mutant and a, say, person of abnormal size or a sanctioned abhuman. I'd think the average Cawdor citizen would just kill them all just to be sure. :p

Any word on the actual release date for Cawdor or GW4?

“In a few weeks” was the answer I got. Have to say the models looks great in the fle... plastic!

The two tone dice are nice too and the artwork lovely. I particularly liked the crows.

I dunno man, you'd be amazed how precious the uneducated masses can be of Their Own.

Bummer that it's late august, I was hoping for it a week or two after kill team. It sucks i'll be doing nothing but twiddling my thumbs and doing nothing for the next 3-4 weeks minimum. Everything does sound good though. The reference pack does sound like a useful thing to have, more tokens for effects couldn't hurt.

Looking at the Cawdor sprue they look packed and with less build/weapon options than van saar. You are pretty much stuck with the pre built loadout until the resin parts come out. Good thing is they don't come in as many fiddly parts in terms of their heads/necks/arms and stuff. I will admit the image I was looking at was kind of blurry but I could make out the shapes good enough.
