Cawdor/GW4 Speculations/Discussions

The Facebook post by Garry was very in depth and covered a lot of what I was told on the day aswell.

One think it didn’t mention, is that it introduces psycher rules. First introduced through hangers on in this book. I was given no details on how they would work but wanted to add this so people were aware particularly as I believe people thought it would wait until gang war 5 and the Delaque.

Guess we’ll be seeing some new Forgeworld hired guns at some point too! Though we’re still waiting for the other types of hangers on so probably shouldn’t get the hopes up too much. Really hope there are rules for having gang members be psychers at some point!

yes, their witches have powers. Whether mutant psyckers function the same way or not though.... (with any other game it would be a logical assumption, given how disjointed N17 has been so far... it's anyones guess!)

Eh, weren't they also supposed to 'fix' (actually write) the rules for using hired guns in campaign? (you know, without the whole 'pay the full cost each game' thingie). Any words about that from the con?
Also, did they mention the possibility of a FAQ update?

All arms should be compatible to all bodies without the need of converting them. I hope this is the only kit with this problem.
Technically, the Escher had a similar problem with their long coat of badassness (you could only use the whip and the combi boltgun with the coat, and the coat could only be used with the whip and combi boltgun (then they added another pair of compatible resin weapons in one of the packs)). However, it was only two arms out of all the ones in the box, so no biggie.

Oh, Escher whip...that's a weird looking weapon and huge waste of sprue space that luckily didn't make it into other kit. Coat also only fit well with the leader body.

I found the coat fit the walking body ok, but yeah not all

Hot damn! New Skirmish, NEW Campaign, Working Grendade Launchers, FAQs hell we even got us a Coat that fits!
I'm feeling a bit positive after my extra large coffee.
Is it premature to get my hopes up for GW4? AND a nice reference sheet to tiddy things up.
Is this a new kinda Hype Cycle? Are the releases too far apart that I can't remember what the GW3 release was like? Please I want to believe and eagerly await with credit card in hand.
At the risk of sounding like a Liverpool supporter every football season, is this "year" gonna be "our" year? :D

The raise shoulder and twisted spine body....hmm I hope you trim the half-grenade bit on the whip arm side off. My main issue with the coat is it's only wrap around the leader body, on the other one it'll hover, and the coat also fold incorrectly.

I fit my coat on the other standing pose. Modified the whip and now I’ve got a bit of swish going on! So a slightly outward coat fits with the twist at the waist and so on.

Honestly though I don’t think they expected people to assemble away from the examples and offered an alternate set of arms for each body so you can make 10 models from one identical sprue.

They’re definitely playing the “buy our extra weapon packs” game.

Don’t know why Escher got two Heavy Stubbers though, looks like everyone else got a few H. Weapons.

Worse still, two heavy stubbers and one completely unnecessary extra chem thrower, that isn't even really a variant pose but a mirror of the plastic one. They really dropped the ball on that one.

Pack 2 teases us with heads and hair. Sadly though they appear to be slightly modified versions of the plastics.

The Mohawk is missing a dangling curl, the cloth covered face has a jewel on the head and the other hair and gas mask I honestly can’t see what they’ve done differently!!

I guess when I compare them up close I’ll find out. Thing is... I shouldn’t have to! It should be obvious!!

If at first glance they don’t look different to the bundled ones then why bother???

But Escher whinge aside, the extra weapons packs are nice I just wish they had some form of logic to them. Like hand to hand, pistols and basics, heavy and special.
