What do you guys think of this as a starting gang for a campaign?

I think you may lack firepower and bodies...
I like the smoke on the Leader and the photogoogles on the long rifle champion though...
Personally, I prefer to leave such finesse for later purchase at the trading post

I also think you're a bit short on bodies and ranged firepower. Try and get at least one more ganger preferably with a reclaimed autogun, ideally two. There are several areas you can make savings, the champs don't need axes and the photgoggles are probably unecessary for a starting gang (I assume it's so he can see through the smoke grenades). I quite like your leader as he's a bit more interesting than just sitting back with overseer.

The second long rifle is nice but I think you'd be better off with a cheaper weapon and more bodies. Perhaps give the leader frag grenades for his rats too.

This is my current list, not picked out skills yet though. I wanted to make a list that is easy to make with one box contents, aside from the shotgun. I just have a thing for shotguns and try to fit one in if I can. I might change things up and find a way to eliminate the juves though. Or at least go down to one juve.

thanks for your in put, I might look into adding more range and maybe a ganger more, but I see no reason to get more than 10 guys, as most missions cap gangs at 10 models

my plan was to run the leader and ganger up front in cover of smoke and my long rifles and crossbow givning shooting support

in my group we have a house tule that only specialist can take special weapon, but you are allowed to upgrade one ganger to a specialist in gang creation

I think that's a fairly common house rule.

The gang looks ok now if you're going to stick to the 10 models. Even split between long and short range gang members. See how it goes.

I will use the leader body for the champion with long rifle.
The pole of the Icon will be part of the barrel, at least in theory

I am planning to fully convert the leader with GSC legs and bretonnian infantry body... with a little help from somebody who know how to sculpt a little

I am assuming that the Cawdor are intended to scorch their way along the battlefield right? The rules for flamers and "Burn" sound pretty gnarly, and I am excited to test it out. Yet how to achieve that within 1000 credits I am unsure. I will try and take the advice here and implement it.

we play 2d and 3d and the other gangs are van saar, delaque and orlock.

What do you think about the ganger with the two stub guns, would this be better then the autoguns?

when i earn the first mmoney i will buy smoke granads and a rat. any ideas for the champion skills?
