Hello fellow gangers,

With the rumours of Chaos Cultits and Genestealer cults making their appearance in Necromunda, what is your saying / opinion / contrasted information?

- Are they going to have dedicated band kits?

- Are they going to have their rules in WD? in GW3?

- Will they play similar to current existing bands?

- Will they exist at all?

I am confused with the current status and wanted to have your insight.

Thanks,

Are they going to have dedicated band kits?
They already do. That's the reason why we can have rules for them in the first place.

WD

Will they play similar to current existing bands?
Define "similar"? They'll be humans with guns, just like other gangs, but expect a few additional rules to represent chaos rituals and whatnots.

Will they exist at all?
Yes

The get you by statement confused me a little, my guess is they will fit into the existing structure of gangs, holding territory visiting trading posts etc, rather than be radically different and therefore not quite make sense in terms of fluff.

Chaos uprisings and genestealer cult will hopefully get more varied rules for how they grow in a campaign. Eg. In terms of mechanics The wd rule will be house Cawdor and the full rules will be redemptionist crusade

For me the exciting question is if they will be 'generic' human gangs or if they come with special rules due to their cultism, wether it is Chaos or Genestealer Cult. But there are no rumors or leaks so far. We'll see that soon :)

IIRC, it was said that chaos cultist would be able to perform rituals to one of the gods between games (or between cycles?) Whorshipping the same god over and over would grant better and better rewards overtime (this lets you create, say, a dedicated Slaanesh cultists gang, or a more equal opportunity gang that worship several gods in turn, depending on what they need at the moment.)

I don't expect those cultists to be outlaw gangs since rules for outlaws probably won't be released before the first outlander expansion (Gang War 6?). The cultist gangs having access to trading post, guilders and the like could be handwaved as them being secret organizations and having normal-human-looking front men they can use for those things (just like vampires would use their human thralls for shopping in Mordheim)

I think chaos cults will be normal gangs and chaos uprisings will be outlaw gangs with more blatant chaos influence (probably with a way to graduate)

Were there rules differences between House gangs and Outlaw Gangs? I just played the core rules back then...

Fluffwise it will be interesting because when you have 3rd/4th Generation Genestealer cultists acting openly this means the whole underhive will be infested with all kinds of mutants...

Yes. From the top of my head, they were limited to only 1 territory (drastically limiting income) and used another separate trading post (with illegal drugs and the like) among other things. There were rules for house gangs to become outlaws during a campaign, but all gangs from Outlanders were outlaws from the start. Outlanders (original or CE) is available for download in the Vault, if you wish to check all the outlaw rules for yourself.
