Chaos Marines?

The chaos coven in the inqisimunda 2.0 seems to be all cultists and robed anti-redmptionists, which is an awesome gang idea, but I run CSM in 40k and have a good number of models. Has anyone done a cult/war band/gang faction for a chaos marine champion and his hangers-on, be the cultists, mutants, or perhaps another marine?

Marines are far too powerful to be included in the game, especially chaos marines since they're pretty much marines buffed by the dark gods. So no, no marines but feel free to add them to your campaign if the other players are fine with it.

I think CSM are allowable but for the Throne Geld you get, half a dozen marines would be all you'd get, maybe less. I've just finished painting up Fabius Bile with Inquisimunda in mind. I loved the variable profile due to all the experimental drugs in his system. He is probably only usable for large multi player games I'd imagine though.

I'm not even thinking half-a-dozen marines. I'm thinking more like a single aspiring champion level marine with maybe one or two marine followers who has to make do with the dregs and mutants who flock to him while he grits his teeth and keeps on fighting to rejoin his legion or form a "proper" war band.

I come from the old Realm of Chaos era and disparate warbands like the ones described in inquisimunda appeal to me

Personally I think if you want it in your games and it doesn't break it, go for it!
