Is there any way to clear a weapon that has jammed? I ran into this issue recently with a weapon that had the plentiful trait ironically enough, lol.

From what I can tell, you're completely denied the ability to clear a jammed weapon in the middle of a game.

I would like to have said that you can bypass being jammed in the same way you would a weapon with the scarce trait: By utilising a loot casket or the lucky find tactics card, but the reason you can do that is because the loot casket specifically mentions scarce and lucky find isn't a reload action (which the scarce trait stops you from doing), however, the wording is very clear in the rapid fire rules. Once the weapon has jammed, it cannot be used again during the battle.

Yeah it looks that way to me as well. Frankly I'm a little surprised by it. I would have figured that there would have been a piece of equipment, hangers-on or skill that would let you clear a Jammed weapon or some kind of procedure like a double action and a intelligence test while being unseen behind heavy cover. When a infantry support weapon goes down like that for real. You are going to move heaven and earth to get it firing again. 🔥

I think an important thing to remember in this game, and it's something I think about every time the dice don't go my way, is that you the player are almost never in command of a competent force, you are playing a mob of unorganized junkies incapable of any true discipline. Even when you factor in a faction like the palanite enforcers, it comes with the caveat that your cops frequently take bribes, sell their spare clips of ammunition for booze money, and occasionally fall off of ledges because they got shot at, panicked, and dove for cover at a height measured in stories.

You are correct that in a situation where your heavy stubber gets jammed, the tactical response would be to have other fighters, cover the weapon while an engineer moves in to support, but this is Necromunda, where the event of "Greasy" Raf jamming the heavy stubber because he took a hit of obscura and messed up his bursts of fire is met with jeers as every idiot fighter on the field thinks they can sort this firefight themselves. No one comes to Greasy's aid, and even if they did, Greasy would not let them touch his beloved heavy stubber, which he won in high-stakes poker game.

Lol. I suppose so but not everyone in the underhive is a strung out Cawdor hopped up on slaught and frenzon. I think the beauty of the game is how the gangs run the gamut when it comes to training ,equipment and culture. I would figure that a Orlock gear head or a Van saar operator should be a bit more proficient with weapons maintenance

Clearing a Jam (failing two Ammo checks due to a single Shoot action on a Rapid Fire 2+ weapon) doesn't look to be doable in the minute or so duration of a scenario. At least not yet. Eventually, we might see published some equipment or skill that allows it, but not yet.
