N18 Collected Errors/Typos in Apoccrypha Necromunda

(Big?) Change to uprising campaign?

Original campaign specifically omitted Trading Post from post-battle sequence. It also explicitly stated this as a deliberate approach to remove it from the campaign.

Apocrypha version (alternative/updated?) makes no mention of including or excluding the trading post, but says to use the standard post-battle sequence from the Core rulebook, which includes the Trading Post.

Did the original explicitly exclude trading post? The problem is if it indeed was intentional, that's the same way of doing it as if it was unintentional. Not mentioning it at all. And there are no shortage of fluff excuses to justify any missing rules.

Hmmm. Unless it specifically said “no access to the trading post” in the campaign text then I’d assume you could access it.

After all that’s the only way to get some decent equipment for some fighters.

If not you can ask the rules lawyer at GW for the next FAQ. If i recall well it was not clear if enforcer had access to the TP and BM. Then a FAQ said they could.

Pretty explicitly.

In the post-battle sequence, all actions linked to the Trading Post are omitted. Step ‘5.B Re-equip’ allows you to purchase new equipment from House equipment lists only.

And then there is a specific call-out box, which explicitly states it is deliberately excluded, but players can always choose to re-implement it with same rules as Dominion Campaign if they wish:

”THE TRADING POST

Experienced Necromunda players will notice that the Trading Post is absent from these campaign rules. This is because, as mentioned previously, during time of dire peril the vast majority of Guilders and black marketeers will be among the first to vacate dangerous domes before the Enforcers close them off and impose martial law to quell the uprising.

However, should players wish, there is nothing to prevent them from using the Trading Post rules as presented in the Dominion Campaign rules found in Necroumda Rulebook, especially during the first phase of the campaign - the Insurrection Phase.”

Pretty explicitly.
Indeed.

So this is the Uprising Campaign from the Dark Uprising box set book right? (Just in case it’s from one of the other books).

So, my guess, for those starting there they haven’t included the trading post for simplicity and therefore the campaign didn’t use it.

If you had the 2018 Rulebook then you could implement it if you wished.

Now… the Apocrypha book includes the campaign but expects you to be using the New Core which includes that information with it.

So, pretty cut and dry there I think. You can use it either way. It’s expected in the new version and the original hedged it’s bets just in case you started with the DU box set.

Sound fair?

Yeah exactly that. It was a box rulebook and minimized any references outside it. Same as it didn't have psyker rules (no psykers in the box). Unlike the rulebook last year, standalone and complete. I guess Trading Post in Uprising still could have gone both ways, but this shows how practical limitations outweigh fluff.
