N18 Collected Errors/Typos in the Book of Ruin

Another small copy/pasta fail in the Book of Ruin: it doesn't say whether the Enrage action granted by the Corpse Grinder Cult Icon is Simple, Basic or Double (it's Simple in the Dark Uprising rulebook).
This Icon is also listed under Gang equipment for some reason (even though it's attached to a specific fighter, so should be Personal Equipment).

The Spawn rules are still an "interpretation mess" the special rules have been only copy pasted from the pdf not adressing at all the dark "corners" of the Spawn's rules conflicting with main rules:
- can only move, charge, fight or Coup de Grace; cannot be pinned so what happens with Webgun or similar weapons. And if it can be pinned trough those means ones pinned does it mean it is unable to stand up (not included in the list of actions)? Needs some Faq/errata there!

The Hermaphage Magos is an Outlaw Bounty Hunter with several Wyrd Powers. But the rules doesn't specify if it is a Non-sanctioned psyker.
Something went very wrong with this Dramatis personae card.
The card doesn't list any of his wyrd power (or the non-sanctioned psyker skill he obviously has). However, it has a lot of 'physical' skills that don't really match his character (Crushing Blow, Fearsome, Hurl and Spring Up on a wizard/scientist? really?)

And you know who also has these exact skills? Fellow dramatis personae Vandoth the Fallen:

Coincidence?

Both look similar. Diff (for Hermaphage compared to Vandoth):
  • -1 BS
  • -1T
  • Las pistol instead of Boltgun
  • Razor-sharp talons instead of fighting knife
  • Hardened flak instead of heavy carapace
  • - stimm-slug stash
  • +Psychic Powers

Yeah, which makes me realize he is also missing the Extra Arm rule (though it could be represented with the Razor-sharp talon weapon and him having 3 attacks already, a bit like what they did for Aberrants)

Anyway, there is obviously a problem with his skills as neither Non-sanctionned psyker nor his wyrd powers are shown. So the question is whether they are simply missing, or were replaced with something else. That is skill list is exactly the same as Mr certainly-not-a-blood-angel is a bit much of a coincidence.

The new Rotary flensing saw weapon creates interesting rule questions since it has Versatile, Melee and Knockback.
Indeed:
If a Melee weapon has the Knockback trait, the attacking fighter can choose to follow the target up, moving directly towards them after they have been knocked back to remain in base contact

How does it work if the attacker uses the weapon at range with Versatile (assuming no barricade is in the way)? I think there are 3 possible answers:
  1. The attacker can choose to move into b2b contact with their target, regardless of distance (some kind of reverse GET OVER HERE!)
  2. The attacker can choose to move 1" towards the target, allowing them to stay 'in range' with their Versatile weapon
  3. The attacker cannot choose to move. As they were not initially in b2b contact with the target, there is no way for them to 'remain' in base contact with the target
I like the third option better because it's simple (and mirrors what happens with ranged attacks), and technically RAW.
Thoughts?

much prefer the "Ending the battle" wording in this book:

The battle ends when only one gang has fighters remaining on the battlefield.

Of course, there’s the bizarre wording in Meat for the Grinder where it instructs you what to do to resolve ties if the battle ends with more than one gang on the battlefield, while the sole end condition for the scenario is...only one gang remaining on the battlefield 😑

In the new FAQ they clarified the cult alphas third arm rule, without correcting it to apply to the others. Wonder if it is intended to be different then?

Yes, this is most likely the intent. Like, 99% certain, if there can be such a thing with Neomunda's rules.
The new version now refers to the Cult alpha by name (instead of 'any fighter with an extra arm') so he's the only one to get a prehensile third hand.

I don't have energy to differentiate between "Third Arm" and "Third Arm". They're gonna have to make something better, or I use same rules for all Third Arms. Don't see any value in this level of detail for something that doesn't even have unique names.

Has anyone figured out or come up with a decent house rule as to what constitutes “using” a chrono crystal in the Public Execution mission? I’d like to incorporate the Rust Town Run as a possible scenario in a campaign, and Public Execution seems like an improvement on Rescue Mission, but there are zero guidelines as to, you know, what the damn thing actually does or how it’s activated in game mechanic terms

Take a page from GW's playbook: just add a hyphen to one of them. Job's a good 'un! ;)
