I'm thinking of doing a classic ruined corner which has been turned into a sheltered camp for an archaeotech hunter or scout. Tarp over the top, camp table of maps and documents and some miscellaneous gubbinz scattered about.

I'm considering maybe a wild west style ruin. Or maybe Mordheim. But my bits box leans heavily towards more advanced technology levels, like cyberpunk or Necromunda. Maybe some thematic terrain for my Cult of Malal, or maybe Sugar Rush... Or the recently constructed Goliaths... So many different directions!!!

I’m rethinking mine. I might do a direct inspiration style entry - a faithful recreation of the same pattern of bricks, arches, colours etc… as found in the cardboard terrain, but in 3d with “modern” terrain building techniques and possibly upscaled
OR transplant the same pattern of bricks and arches into a mordheim ruin, a sort of warped version of the same thing transplanted to the old world.
This seems more fun and in tune with the theme than a boring concrete bunker corner.

This is an excellent excuse to craft some terrain! I am totally in (and will probably start drafting up ideas here shortly for something playable at the leas, even if it doesn't totally get done in time) Annoyingly a craft store close by shuttered the other month and my supplies have dwindled since building for other projects, but this seems like a good excuse to do a little runabout and buy way too much plasticard again!
It doesn’t need to be a corner. The spirit of the theme is a section of ruin that can be placed to imply a building was there.P.S. Does this have to be a corner or can it be any ruined building? Asking for a friend!
I suppose a square would be ok be not in the spirit.

Ah! The comp title does include “ruined corner” so as long as one of the corners of the square building is ruined then it would be in line, even if the spirit of the competition is hinting at an L-shaped ruin.

First test of importing vector drawings into Fusion, assembling them together and printing. On the right is a texture test. Tomorrow I'll have a go at a project that combines the two.
Some more work done. This is based on one of the ruined corner pieces from my big modular set. Each layer is 2mm instead of 3, I'm dropping the inner layer and the middle layer (now the inner layer) is embossed with a stone texture picture I found on Pinterest.
And now for something completely different. I assembled the two ruined corners you get in City of Ash and it turns out they don't come with an upper floor (maybe that's the reason there is no climbing in that game). That of course would not do, so I added some from coffee stir sticks.
If the 3D sculpting ends up looking like crap, at least I have something to fall back on.

I did the same to my City of Ash corners, makes them much more useful.
Ah yes, the venerable coffee stirrer, the reason the entire staff of the GW I used to work at was banned from the McDs across the street.
