All Hail Warboss Klawbog da Magnificent:

Ruler of the Eastern marches,

The Terror of Tisburg,

And his mighty Waagh:

So Klawbog was my first model I ever bought with my own money. He served for several years as my Warboss and later a Big Boss under such legendary, and better painted, figures such as Morglum Necksnapper and Azhag the Slaughterer.

The town of Tisburg was the setting for a Gathering of Might (a group of three or four battles in White Dwarf at the time) style campaign that my mates and I played. The Greenskins eventually lost, but it didn't count count 'cos we were dead.

Original, slightly lacking in glory version:

Here's my entry, preloved (and then stripped) by @Greenthumb, and brought back to life over the last 6 weeks as an odd homage to the New York Knicks, a team I briefly became an adopted supporter of while in NYC earlier this year and whose colour scheme stuck with me. I bought this as a "I'll probably use that one day" purchase, not expecting to get them painted so soon - so this Comp was very timely once I put two and two together to realise the team fits the theme - nor to enjoy painting them quite so much either.

So I've not actually finished it's all super shiny and glossy. 4 months of barely even a cloud and now it's all rainy and humid so matte seal can wait. Also base needs doing.

None the less here is what I managed

This is unusual but this is a kind of unusual competition anyway. I was running through the entries and it feels like some people who should have made final posts have not.

So in a very odd turn up for the books I call on the following people: @katfezza, @DarkMouse, @MarkMeredith, @SuboptimusPrime, @CaptainDangerous

You have ONE MORE DAY to upload a picture of your finished re-loved project* on the basis that I think you were caught out by the comp ending. Yak's honour you don't do any more work on it - if you do every time you look for a teaspoon there will never be a clean one in the drawer (standard issue curse no. 722C(mild)).

Disagree with me doing this? Fight me.

(don't actually fight me i'll cry)

*until 17:00 BST 15/09/2026.

(Oh and to make it up to @Scavvierising who was last in, if he were to *remember* that he did in fact paint his base black last night and forget to take a picture of it, that's understandable).

Here it is, final comp pic of the Ash Spiders.

These minis have been with me since Secondary school and saw me through my first steps into skirmish and narrative games, showing me a love for the hobby I had not thought possible until then. M
Although they fell into disuse shortly after my first foray as GM for a campaign at Uni (I collected Spyrers shortly after) here they are, restored and ready for a new rumble in the Underhive in October!

Before!
After!

Thought I had until the 16th for some reason. Who am I kidding, it's going back in the box for another decade either way. 😂

Hey guys don´t worry about being too late. I read the rules, from the rules thread yesterday, for the first time and noticed I have not fulfilled the "make a diary of the progress on your own thread" part at all and so on.

I endorse this rare show of hive generosity @Stoof but don’t get carried away, next the scum will want clean water, actual food and not corpse starch! you spoil them.

Also I think this slipped many of you by “Collected Spyrers at Uni” always knew you were a wrong un @DarkMouse!!

(also @Stoof I think this unfounded generosity has got you all confused? @Scavvierising base is black? Special committee member salute!)

Wrong un?
Just because some of us enjoy the finer things in life?

Like the blood of our prey flowing down our weaponry.....

Hmm strong case to bring the Spyrers to next year's meet!
